Oddly enough, they don’t sell as well. Go figure.

I’ve convinced myself I “need” a Suhr HSS Classic S. I figure it’s the perfect gig electric with the neck single coil and bridge humbucker. Should be here tomorrow from Wildwood.

I would really like to try a Vigier fretless but am not interested enough to pay the price.

Man, I've lost count of how many guitars I have. Out of all of them though only about 4 actually go out to make money. So if you figure my hit rate on "keeper" guitars is about one in ten or twenty, nope, don't need to buy any more. All I need is a Strat, A Tele, a Lester and a 335 and I can't think of a show I can't play. (OK, my VOX Phantom comes out for slide but that's mostly for the look of it, after all - it is show biz.) Since I have those covered, why bother?
Used to be an amp freak too, but modern gear has made them all dust collectors.
Like I tell folks who come and talk to me between sets - "You probably have the right guitar but the wrong amp. The amp's the thing people actually hear."

You deserve an SG. I had a Special for a few years in Millennial times. It sounded great but I was too heavy handed for the slim neck.
They are a distinctive guitar - in a very good way.
And yes, you can blame me😀

SG's are fun but it only takes about three sets with that neck-diving bullship to make you crazy. I've had so many bang into the mic stand I had to give them up.

Rumor has it that the Wildwood spec'ed SGs have a bit chunkier neck, but more neck weight on an SG still makes me nervous.

Yeah, one condition on an SG would be a chunkier neck. Neck dive not much of an issue at this stage of the game. I recall the first time I picked up an SG, an acquaintance had one back in high school. I was immediately struck by how much wider the neck felt compared to my 1 5/8" early 70's Tele. The next time I saw that guitar was at a gymnasium gig the guy played. I was just standing there looking up at the stage before they went on. I can't remember if it was on a stand or leaning up against an amp, but it went sideways and had the predictable outcome.

I've added up the guitars I've owned since 1967 and there's 57 I can remember. Of those 57, I own 15 electrics and 3 acoustics now. There are about 10 from the past I'd like to have back. Some for sentimental value and others that would be worth some decent money.
I'm mostly satisfied with what I have but... I do want to check out some Suhr and Ernie Ball guitars before I quit looking.
As far as amps I've had some nice ones that would now be out of reach buy again. I really hate to sell anything unless I know I'd be happy!! Although, I'm close to being happy with the amps I have now.
And I should probably sell my PA system at some point. lol

And I should probably sell my PA system at some point. lol PA prices have dropped like rocks with new tech, unless it's cutting edge, it's probably a relative paperweight in value.

Yeah, nothing that is cutting edge technology. It's nice I can use it with my Scarlett 18i20 and listen thru the PA system for giggles. The mixer is an Allen Heath MixWizard(3) 16:2. I checked Reverb for used prices on it and the 4 115 cabs with horns (plus floor monitors) and power amps. If I got 50/60% back that might be ok?? I'll find a small board to pair with a powered speaker I own and sell everything else at some point.
