I had a Ric 12 string back in the day. I think it was a 460? I bought it brand new and it was stolen a month later. Loved the sound but couldn't play it because of the neck with. I have very large fingers and just couldn't get them between the strings.
The only Ric I have now is a late 70's 4001 bass that has had some modifications done. Bartolini pickups, Badass bridge, and a brass nut. A great bass guitar.

I have a basic 330 Rickenbacker in Fireglow finish. It's a good guitar. I also owned a 360-12 but could not get along with the narrow neck so I eventually sold it. It did sound great though. I later satisfied my urge for an electric 12 with a Reverend Airwave. I too had the Rick 12 string. Bought it used in NYC on 48th Ave. Loved the sound and it sure was beautiful, but playable? Not so much. Still, I wish I had kept it. BTW, those guitar stores along 48th Ave in NYC - all gone! Even the buildings have been torn down. Major disappointment when I visited in December. Yup, I had a stereo Ric 12 string, not very player friendly. I sold it after one year of fighting that neck and string spacing.

I don't think I ever even touched a Rickenbacker once. Never mind played one.

Yeah, tell me about those skinny necks on Rickenbacker 12-string guitars! I had been through three of them over the years beginning in 1967 (360-12, 370-12RM, and a 330-12), before I got my 660-12 with the slightly wider neck a few years ago. It is actually playable! I think the only other Ric 12 that has the wider neck is the 1993Plus (but it doesn't have the 12-saddle bridge, go figure).
I have a 2018 Stratocaster XII and a 2016 Gretsch Country Gentleman G6122-12 and they both have very playable necks. The Strat XII is the easiest of my 12-string guitars to play. But nothing sounds like the Rickenbacker 12-string!

Nice! You do not see a lot of Rickenbackers... I have the same thing but different: Ric 660-6 in maple blue burst with checkerboard binding. 2007 is the only year Rickenbacker made these. I do not play it enough. Does this one count too? Hi there, peego, I have been looking for this guitar for a long while. I have Rickenbacker Blue burst 4001. If the price was right would you be looking to sell your blueburst 660?
