I think this is Jeff at his best.

I like that era of Beck. His appearances on Stanley Clarke albums are also great!

I just played it a couple days ago -- one of his best, IMO. But I think I like "Rough and Ready" just a bit better.

So many to choose from. My favourites include Wired and Performing This Week (live at Ronnie Scott's).

Live at Tonnie Scott's is impressive.

I pulled out a couple Jeff Beck albums last night. The truth is that "Truth" sucks. I think it was his first album with Rod Stewart singing and Ron Wood on bass. Just not a good effort IMO.

I got "Blow by Blow" on vinyl when it came out (1977?) and I loved it. It was a *big* change from stuff I'd been listening to (Zeppelin , Purple, Rush, UFO, Thin Lizzy etc). I literally wore it out. I got again on download/ CD a couple of years ago. It still sounds great and is still my favourite Jeff Beck album.

Saw him live when it came out. Outstanding. One of my best concerts I went to ever.

I tried and tried to get into Beck. I really did. While I appreciate his skill, his playing reminds me of a drunk bumble bee and a whale trying to have sex (if that were possible).

I never really understood the whole Beck thing. It always seeemed that his claim to fame was his ability to coax unique sounds out of his guitar.

Let's not overlook Max Middleton. (SP?)
An important component of Rough And Ready and Blow By Blow.

I like it all...even his rockabilly rekkid.
You know it's Jeff with just one note.
