I recently downsized the herd. Sold two nice Yairis and gave a couple others away. I'm left with these three, which seems like a good number for me these days. Each is a great guitar and different from the others.
L to R: 1981 Guild D-46, 2000 Goodall Standard, and a 2014 Martin CEO-7 00-14.
Let's see what you've got!

Dang, I didn’t think I’d have to see that CEO again. I’m already thinking of selling off 3/4s of my instruments to get something close to it.

Haha, sorry, hush! You best stay away from the Chicago Music Exchange website, it's a dangerous place to go. I wasn't really even looking for anything when I spotted that one, and it grabbed me hard.
You would not believe what a sweet guitar that thing turned out to be.

It’s so hard to buy these without playing it first. I got lucky with the 000-15S, the only acoustic, or even electric I bought unplayed, I should be satisfied with it and the 00-15. I’m just obsessed with adding a spruce top. Even the Martin 00-18 Authentic 1931 would be a good choice. I could live without the whisky sunburst, but it I had the choice and they were close in tone I would choose it.
Your are an evil person.

I am, yes. What can I say?
Have you ever run across an Eastman E10P? It's a 12-fret mahogany/adi parlor with a slot head. I've had two, and should have kept that first one. They are relatively inexpensive, $700 or so used, and are GREAT little guitars. Might be just what you are looking for, and you wouldn't have to sell 3/4s of your guitars.
They pop up on CL every so often.

I’ll check them out. I plan on letting go of at least half of my basses, I may even sell of one or two of the ones I made. I have this nice little Yamaha CSF1M, the top is solid the back and sides are laminated mahogany. It actually doesn't suck. When I am playing it I’m not thinking of other guitars. I A/B this guitar with the solid back and sides version and I couldn’t tell any difference. So I took the less expensive,, with the more structurally sound back and sides, it’s my camping guitar.
I would consider a trade with the 000-15S, the 00-15 is a really good instrument, I believe it sounds better than the 000-15. The 000-15 is generally more desirable than the 00 version.

Funny, I took lots of pics of the electric herd - guitars and amps - over the years, but nothing really of the acoustics. Odd considering they were my mainstay for decades.
Right now I have only the 000C-16GTE, an '80's Washburn D18-M, and a Republic Tricone resonator. Oh, and my old Regal R200. I'm currently in the market for a nice solid top dreadnought though.

larryguitar, I never got a good look at the headstock to see a logo, but that 12er sure looks like an Alvarez-Yairi DY-80. Am I wrong?

mikey, that sycamore is really nice. Nice bunch of Martins.
And Shoes, thanks for posting. I wish I could hang mine on the wall, but it's so dry up here that they all have to stay in the case with a Planet Waves humidifier and an ultrasonic humidifier running from time to time in the room. I especially like that D-55.
Keep 'em coming!

I know what you mean Ragtop, I lived in Colorado for 45 years, crazy dry in the winter. Here in the Carolinas though I have to de-humidify. It does get a little on the dry side when the heat runs but nothing like you get. That D55 is by far the heaviest acoustic I've ever had but it sure sounds sweet and plays like a dream.

Yep, that D-46 of mine weighs a ton too. Absolutely bulletproof, though, in the 20 years I've owned it. Versatile, too, ain't nothing it can't do.

FlyonNylon, cool guitars, nicely photographed, thanks.
Same to you, ScottB. I love the offset fret markers on that second one. To my eye they counterbalance the cut-away body.
walshb, you are a lucky guy. I don't know that I'll ever own a 40-something Martin. Although I have been keeping my eye out for many years for a Dan Fogelberg signature model; if I ever find one, I'll probably have to sell a kidney to buy it.

Although I have been keeping my eye out for many years for a Dan Fogelberg signature model; if I ever find one, I'll probably have to sell a kidney to buy it. Thanks, Ragtop! I drove up to Sweetwater and went through guitar after guitar. I had a job where I made a lot of money on expenses, getting paid mileage and per diem. I didn't plan on spending as much as I did, but they came down quite a bit on the price and at that point, it was hard to pass up. I did think it was the best sounding one, at the time. I figured out later that some of it was the pick I was using, making the guitars sound dull. Doh! I certainly don't regret the purchase, I love the guitar. Right after I bought it, the price went up to $5K and I guess they're closer to $6K now.

This is a Gibson J45 Progressive. The model was too much of a departure from a 'normal' guitar and they didn't sell (Robot tuners, Tune-o-matic bridge, composite fingerboard), so I got it way below MSRP. I replaced the robots with Grovers, removed the crap bridge and installed a Tusq saddle. It plays really well and sounds great. The MOP parallelogram markers were borrowed from the ES175. This is the only acoustic I own. A cheap Washburn that I only use to write songs or strum minor chords while I cry when I need to.

Washburn makes good stuff. Even their inexpensive parlors (like yours) are really good.

I picked this up a little over a year ago, Yamaha CSF1M for camping and kicking around. It’s slightly more period correct than most modern.common guitar sizes. It has a really sweet tone and surprising volume for it’s size.
