The cuts I've heard sound pretty dang good. His playing and singing just get better and better.
One of the reasons I dig Cray is his original stuff does not follow old-school blues format. It's blues all right, but the arrangements and chord voicings are refreshingly non-traditional.

I'll be eager to hear his new stuff. I have the prior albums and saw him live here in town some years ago. I understand it was Eric Clapton who help usher Cray up front and center in the music World … and we are all the better for it.

I checked his site a while ago and see that he's playing a nearby venue in early March. It seems Bob is pretty proud of himself lately -- he's asking $149 a pop for tix.
We'll see.

Seen him live a few times. He never disappoints. His voice can bring tears to your eyes, he's that good. His playin' ain't too shabby either. I look forward to hearing his latest LP.

I remember getting "Strong Persuader" back in 1986. It was really the first time I ever listened to any of his stuff.
