Superbowl's coming up. Considering a TV upgrade. Small by today's standards - 43".
Costco has an unmatchable support, warranty & return policy. Comes down to LG vs. Samsung - both SMART w/ nearly identical specs.... Anyone care to voice a brand preference between these two?

It's Costco. Pick one and take up to 90 days to decide.

We bought a 40" Samsung from Costco several years ago and it's still going strong.
That's all I've got...

In 2007, when we were shopping for something to replace our CRT, an FDPer suggested any TV brand beginning with the letter "S". We went with a Sharp 46" TV and are still happy with it. Just sayin'.

You can't go wrong with either brand. We have a 50" Samsung and it's a great TV. I have no experience with LG but they have a good reputation.

I have two 40” Samsung’s. One is about 6-7 years old and the other from Costco is about 2. Both perfect, never a problem.

We've got one of each. The LG is 4 years old (bought around SB time) and the Samsung is a year old.
Both great sets. No complaints with viewing or sound. We do much-prefer the Roku interface of the Samsung, though. Sometimes the LG menu system is a wee bit glitchy. It's rare, but it happens.

The only issue I have with Samsung is the dialog sometimes does not match the actors mouth movement.
I can watch the same programming on my Panasonic and the audio is synced. My Daughter has a LG and the audio is synced also.
I gave up Netflix but my particular Samsuck would not play nice with the app.

I have both and think you can’t go wrong on this one. I think the colors are more vivid on the LG , at least that’s my opinion.

Any reviews I’ve read seem to favour LG OLED but they’re pricey.

My Samsung has a setting to sync the sound. I recall it is a delay setting.

I too have had 2 LG's (better than my first LED HD TV l had which was a Sony). Having said that my son has a Samsung 4K and it has a phenomenal picture. I would go with whichever has the most features and best price. If you can get a 4K at least 120hz with OELED HDR that is what I would go for. Mine is 49" and if I get another it will be 55" minimum

My Samsung has a setting to sync the sound. I recall it is a delay setting. Yep, so does mine.
But I have to change it for every app I use.
Some are 50% some are 120% my other TV's don't need to do this.
SAMSUCK!!!!

Are you using a soundbar. If so, turn off Dolby.

We have three LG's. I just like their picture. The newest one is "smart". So far very few problems.

Hate to break it to you guys. They are basically the same (Materials manager for a Tier 1 supplier that worked in that industry)
About 4 plants/manufacturing facilities are responsible for 90% of the parts and components that make up washers and dryers.. Same goes for Hot water Heaters

I just saw this and it makes me sick to think I bought a 48" HD LED TV a year and a half or so ago for this price that was not 4K OR HDR check this 55" out
Samsung 4K TV

Between those two names I'd get the one with the features I preferred because there probably isn't a dime's worth of difference in quality.

But the Samsuck won't have the audio synced.
Not really a fan of LG but will never buy another Samsung
