Maybe I'm jumping the gun, as the site is still new and I'm sure the moderators have a lot to learn themselves, but I have tried to use the "insert image" button. Has anybody been able to do that?. Mfitz thought it might be image size, but there are no size limits given.

I'm not Mike, but I believe there is a 1mb limit.

Unless I missed it, you cannot upload a photo directly. Instead, I use a hosting site, IMGUR, and then insert the link by using the 'Insert Image' icon.
I tried to copy and paste a pic. That didn't work. I was able to drag one into my post but the orientation was sideways and I couldn't figure out how to reorient it. Example...

You can click Add Attachment but there is a 1MB limit. Photos hosted elsewhere don’t have a size limit. Larry, you’re younger than I thought. You look like a baby!!

When I try to put a picture from my photo library for my avatar it turns sideways - horizontal. It’s portrait in my library.
How do I keep it in portrait?

Make it smaller....also; use MSPaint (or similar) to crop just the subject you want visible, and, make it smaller. Very common prob for people posting from mobile device to public forums.

FYI, it seems the add attachment button is not in the mobile software version. Users on their phones will have to switch to the desktop view; add the attachment; post; then switch back to the mobile version... which is in teeny-tiny print at the very bottom of every page. (See pic)

This is what the mobile software looks like, if interested.

From a mobile device scroll down to the bottom right of the page and click on the “desktop” link. That will put you in desktop mode on your phone.
