I was reading other sites for recommendations, since I've grown weary of my Ernie Ball Jr's tone suck. Someone recommended the Tapestry Audio Bloomery that's on sale for $99, which is significantly less than the original price, so I pulled the trigger. I was planning to save up for the Lehle volume pedal at $300. This one is a third of the price and gets great reviews. We'll see once it arrives. Tapestry Audio

Please do, I have been thinking of picking up a volume pedal myself.

Oh, I thought maybe it was wired "backwards" for lefties...
...which is a (very minor) pet peeve of mine as a lefty player. My guitar cord has to run across in front of me for the input into my pedals...maybe I just need to get creative and use a longer cord and run it around the back of the board (as Homer said, "Duh!).

I should make a lefty-friendly series of pedals. I'd swap the inputs and the outputs to the other side.

Hushnel, I have a passive EB volume pedal that sucked tone, so on a whim I installed a treble bypass across the non-grounded legs of the pot and it worked a treat.
Give it a try.

Geno, do you have a drawing?
The company just emailed me and said they're out of the black and have only the white in stock. Dang! I'd much prefer black.

Rev, I added outboard jacks on the left side of my board so I can plug in without crossing over the board.

LeftyMeister, the drawing is the same for a treble bypass on a guitar. Look:

I decided to get the Bloomery since it was on sale for dirt cheap ($89). I wanted black but they were out of stock. I can live with white, but I wish the footpad was at least black. They have colored options but not black.
This thing is built like a Sherman tank. I can't wait to put it on my board.

Whoa. Is that aluminum *plate*? Holy jeebuz, it looks like a shop fixture you'd see on a milling machine. As long as the the guts aren't made from recycled stale donuts and old underwear, that looks like a real gem of a pedal. Seriously. It looks extremely rugged. It needs some skateboard tape on the rocker. You can find it at the DIY store, sold in the plumbing department as non-slip tape for bathtubs. The 3M stuff is the best. This stuff. YES, I just got a pedicure.

Geno, it's 1/4" steel plate. Here's the new pedal on the board. I was surprised it's so much smaller than the EB Jr. It came with two allen wrenches to adjust the tension and pot sweep. I'll need toplay with the sweep for optimum swells. Since my Maz 18 is at church, it's difficult to compare to increased clarity until practice tomorrow. For $89, this thing is a steal.

WOW. That is ridiculous. In a good way. Even if you buy one just for the chassis to drop in a different circuit, yes, that's a steal. The usual gang of idiots are selling these for $150+ now, but if you go to the Tapestry site you can still buy direct from them for $99 and that includes shipping: tapestryaudio.com/products/bloomery-active-volume-pedal

Since ordering mine, I've read some reviews that some folks have had problems with their tensioners holding for extended periods. Others said they've had theirs for a couple of years with an issue.
Since I'm mechanically inclined, I'm sure I can come up with a fix if I do have an issue.

How is the sweep on this pedal? I have the EB Jr. but don't like it much. I like to do swells and don't like to have to work the pedal "top to bottom" to do it. I'd prefer a narrow range between all and nothing so I don't have to move my foot so much.

Wheat, this pedal does not have a narrow sweep. In fact, it's longer than the EB Jr.
