Quick question -- thinking of a partscaster tele, and wondering if a 'vintage' bridge (3 barrel brass, etc) would fit on a current Fender 'standard' model (MIM). And would a "Player" series neck fit on a standard body? Looking to find out before I spend any $ on stuff. Thanks as always. -- MikeyD

The neck/body fit should not be an issue.
I don’t know about the bridge. I do have experience with an AmStd body [Tele] and bridges. I bought a 2012 AmStd Tele body from Stratosphere. The only bridge that would work (using all the pre-drilled holes) was the Fender bridge designed for the model. And there were NONE of those on the market. I ended up making it a top-loader.

Yes, everything you've asked will all work. The bridge and body you spec'd will fit perfectly together. Bridge fit problems occur when fitting a vintage-style bridge to an American Standard body, or fitting an American Standard bridge to a vintage-style body. The reason is how the bridge mounts, because the locations of the holes through the body for the strings are not identical for both bridge types. The mounting holes for the bridge to the body are also different. The dead-easy way to see it is to look at the bridge and see the relationship between the string-through holes and the mounting holes. They're opposites. This is not an uncommon problem for first-time builders; encounter it once, and you'll never forget it: Fender necks and neck pockets are all standardized, so they all will fit together. However, because it's one wood item attaching to another wood item, woods can shrink or expand over time, and sometimes neck pockets are a bit too snug for the neck. A super tight fit is bad, because it can crack the finish on the body near the pocket on the treble side where the wood is thin. There needs to be a little wiggle room. If the neck doesn't easily drop straight down into the body with the body laying flat, tape a piece of 220-grit paper to the side of a small wooden block and sand both sides of the neck pocket to widen it. *Do not sand the neck* to make it fit.

I didn't mention it in the above post, but the differences in the bridge mounting holes and string-through holes also mean the rout for the bridge pickup will be in wrong spot under the bridge plate. It's a no-go!
Anytime you are chasing parts for a build and not making your own body, look closely at the bridge mounting & string-through holes. That will tell you the type of bridge the body is designed to accept.
