I'm a big fan of Seymour's pickups. They are top quality and they sound consistently great. He also has a bit of a sense of humor regarding state-required consumer warnings on packaging for products that originate in Collie-FON-ya:  |

I had lunch with and played a clinic with Seymour many years ago, and he's a great storyteller with a good sense of humour and he's also a fine guitar player. He was promoting his "convertible" amps at the time (told you it was many years ago).
I really like his pickups too, and have a set of Strat Stacks and a set of Seth Lover humbuckers.

Dang. California is concerned nickel can cause cancer to the point an inert metal coating warrants a warning label ? As someone who used to run cross country in their triple smog alerts in my foolish youth, maybe they should have labeled their AIR ! Lord knows how much lead, antimony, plutonium, bizarre rare earths and Hollywood makup and paint fumes I've breathed ! And what about my nickel collection ? Inside California it's a toxic dump site ! NOTHING could be worse that this news...  |

Notice: "Everything in California causes cancer including California "   Personally I feel sorry for "some" of those that live there with all they have to endure.
Also, on a serious note. I too think Seymour Duncan makes some great pickups. I have a set of SD SPB-3 Quarter Pounders in a P bass for big fat tone. Also put a set of SD SPJ-3 Quarter Pounders in a J Bass for same reasons. Love their tone. Also had SD SH-1 Vintage Blues 59 set of Humbuckers in a guitar I had.
