Probably my favorite CCR song and I love CCR. I remember the first time I heard that song as a teenager after snowboarding all day in colorado back in ? 2003. I struck up a conversation with two older dudes in the lobby and "I put a spell on you" came on and that 6/8 downstroke rhythm guitar part blew me away.
I spent a long time yesterday watching a bald eagle while fishing at the lake then on the way home "Take it to the limit" came on the radio, so that's what I'm listening to on the upstairs digital focusrite/alexis-monitor system.

The Old Lamplighter, The Browns, first cut off Nipper's Greatest hits, the 60's vol 2 CD BMG/RCA 1988. A great series with wonderful selections and sound.

It’s a great album back to front.
I’m off down a SRV rabbit hole. That’s how I roll.
He does a mean Little Wing.

Thank you for the compilation album you posted earlier. It reminded me of Nipper, the HMV dog. I will be the proud owner of a Nipper and gramophone statue in less than a week. eBay’s wonderful! live.staticflickr.com/65535/49869121982_866209fe18.jpgIt’s small enough that Barry won’t get jealous.

Some great cuts -- I have a lot of Hendrix and SRV on vinyl but I rarely play them anymore because they've become so familiar. I'll have to correct that. Anyway, the weather turned bad this afternoon so I came inside and flipped through some records. First up was "Jazz Samba" by Getz and Byrd. I don't know how someone can *not* like some Bossa Nova from time to time. I have a couple copies and I've never bothered to determine which pressing they are but they are from the original era and still sound great.

When I can't decide on what I want the hear next I usually pull out a Steely Dan record. I have most of their albums, all on vinyl. My favorite is usually the last record I played -- today it was "Katy Lied". Again, I have several copies but they are all mainstream pressings. I really want to see if there is a better remastered version of this record.

I've worn out a few copies of Aja over the years. Love em.

I bought Jan's first (I think) solo album shortly after high school. I was just starting to circle the black hole of higher end audio gear. This record sounded great on decent gear -- and I thought the album cover was way cool.

Something made me think of this tune -- I was never able to get the LP at the time but I have the album on cassette and CD. This is a great band that never got the recognition they deserve.

I am a CCR fan though not necessarily this song, we played a few of their songs during a 40 year High School reunion several years ago where a bunch of us high school friends got together. Did 3 of their songs along with Neil Youngs Cinamon Girl, some Doors, Cream, and some others. It was fun (after the nerves wore off, LOL )
