Kind of the antithesis to Jimmy Wilsey's (RIP WickedGtr) "I hate red guitars" thread back on the FDP. I currently only have a Seafoam Green Warmoth Tele Thinline and a custom greenburst Strat painted by Mark Jenny. But I love: Seafoam, Surf, Sherwood, Cadillac, Aspen greens. I can't say I'd do a lime/charger type green. I think my next venture may be Sherwood.

I always wanted a 1983 Stratocaster Elite in Sherwood Green. One of my instructors at GIT had one, twas a beauty.

Gretsch Cadillac Green is yummy. The Gretsch Country Club in Cadillac Green with gold hardware and cream binding is one beautiful guitar.

I like a really tasteful green burst too, depending on what guitar it's on.

Those Gibson guitars with the Custom Made plate on them are really not custom made. That is actually a Band Aid.
The bodies roll off the line all drilled for a tune-o-matic bridge and a stop tailpiece. The bodies on which they install Bigsbys are left with those two holes in the top for the stop tailpiece threaded sleeves, which is no longer required.
There was probably a meeting, and it probably went something like this:
Production manager: "We need a way to cover up these holes on the Bigsby-equipped archtops."
Ted McCarty: "Whatever you come up with, it better be cheap."
Line chief: "How about some Nylon panel plugs? Pop 'em in and problem solved."
McCarty: "No way. That will look like a Band Aid."
Production manager: "Why not a little engraved plastic plate to make it look deliberate, and not a quick fix? It could have the guitar's model name on it."
McCarty: "Hmmm...why not just have 'custom made' on the plate? That way we can put it on any guitar, because it saves cost."
[nods all around the table]

Around 20 years ago Squier made some lefty Strats British Racing Green. It is a great color on a Strat.

My Electron Green Tele is shown in post #8 of the Tele thread. Not everyone's cup of tea but I drink it daily. I also have an olive green Mustang. I like green. Heck, even my Glock is green (Battlefield Green).

Heck, even my Glock is green (Battlefield Green). I like it. It reminds me of the first Tele I ever tried to refin. It was a basement rattle can project when I had no clue what I was doing. It also happened to be the only guitar I've ever had stolen from me.

The next build I have on deck is an Esquire.
I think... a green one. 🤔
Thank you, green guitar thread - may I have another?

I had an Aspen Green Gretsch on hold for a while.
In the end I wasn't able to get it, but I loved the colour so much I was sold on buying it before I even played it.

Actually this pic is a little closer to the true color That is a pretty green burst. I really like the black appointments on your guitar! Of the greens, I like Fender's surf green, Sea Foam green, one more on their Player Series P basses but can't remember the name. It is what I actually wanted but unavailable at GC locally during sale so I went with a medocre light blue but not a real big deal. Also, as mentioned Gretsch has a very nice green on their archtop electrics.

Hopefully the link below will show my first electric guitar. Got it from Lafayette Radio Electronics when I was 12. Still don't know whether, years later, it was tossed by my parents or my wife, but it was a 4-pickup green beauty. link

There was a similar guitar I was lusting after circa 1970 before I got my first guitar (Silvertone).

Somewhere in the land of discarded youthful treasures, it's keeping my Lafayette tremolo/reverb guitar amp, Lionel train set, and baseball cards company.

That's a good looking colour on a Jazzmaster. Saw green Sparklecaster Strat and Tele somewhere too that looked killer.
