Love this song:
First time I became aware of them, they were playing at a small-town swap meet: definitely long before they "made the big time". I remember thinking, "dang: those guys are good! Who the heck are they?"
Cesar Rosas was playing a Mustang or Duo-Sonic, so it must've been "lean times" for them.

Yup, love those guys. Kind of surprised I never bought any of their albums.

I just listened to my vinyl copy of "how will the wolf Survive" a couple days ago. There are a few tunes that could be called an acquired taste -- but the rest are solid rockers.

Try "Kiko", Chris. That's a good one.

Love Los Lobos! Just lately I’ve been listening closely to several of their tunes including “Will The Wolf Survive?” and the song “One Time One Night in America.” The riffs in these two are just terrific. Saw them up in the Great Pacific Northwest in Portland in the early ‘90s. Timely thread for me. Great group which plays great live shows.

And an interesting interview (during which band deftly turns aside interviewer's attempt to get into politics):
