We're pretty sure our daughter, SIL, and my MIL all had it over the holidays. They had a fever with dry cough, extreme fatigue, and achiness. They said it was unlike any flu they'd ever had. My wife, son, and I never got it, or at least we didn't show symptoms.

Mike...eagerly awaiting hearing from you today. You folks OK?
No change from yesterday really. My daughter still has some congestion, which is not uncommon for her this time of year from seasonal allergies, although not having been outside much, I can't say its because of that.
I feel fine. I feel like when you are 99% over having had a cold and you just feel a little phlegmy. I am more tired than usual, but then again I have also not been sleeping well, partially from anxiety, partially from just not having to go to work so I am watching TV later lol.
"Patient Zero", as my wife is not enjoying being called, also remains unchanged, some tightness in the chest, no difficulty breathing, no cough, no fever.
But for the positive test, I wouldn't think any of us have the virus based on the lack of reported symptoms.
Thanks for asking, we remain as we were, pretty much ok.

Based on reported symptoms I too would not doubt my wife and I had this in early January. Not sleeping well either, both of us. Last night was the worst.

Another interesting note, my wife was tested on Tuesday and was told she would receive a call with the results in 2-3 days. We found out that we could retrieve the results from the lab’s website on our own which we did.
But it’s now six days later and we still have not received a phone call notifying us of the results.

Interesting. We have a friend who’s an ER doc, here, and he’s in charge of the Covid response at the local hospital. He said testing result delays are real.

I can see how that would be, but these results aren’t delayed, only communication of the results is. That’s not good, what if she were out contaminating people?

Heard yesterday Abbott labs is coming out with new test that takes only a few minutes for the results as soon as FDA cleared.

Not having a great mental health day today. I’ve now sworn off the news, I don’t really need to sit around wondering what turns this thing could take. But that’s what I’m doing.

Computer models have been wrong before. Just look at weather forecasts. Junk in, junk out.

One day at a time. Stay with the program. Monitor yourselves carefully. Don't overdo stuff. It'll be cool.

One day at a time. Stay with the program. Monitor yourselves carefully. Don't overdo stuff. It'll be cool. That’s what we’re doing. It’s about 12 days since her first symptoms, the doctor said 14 days is good, but you can really get symptoms popping up any time within 21 days. So we’re a little better than halfway there.

A close friend, age 65, is now in recovery in London.
She said she’s never felt so bad in her life. It was extremely rough for her, but she survived and is recovering rapidly.

My wife, son, and I never got it, or at least we didn't show symptoms. I experienced several days of those symptoms... my cough was never really bad. i didn't feel it coming like i usually do with things. it just dropped out of nowhere. i was fine and then i wasn't. temperature was 101 degs f, extreme fatigue and i hurt like i had been hit by a truck. one night i woke up soaking wet with sweat, i got up and i was fine again.
my wife went through about the exact same thing the next week.
a friend was in the hospital 3 days with that.
i wish we knew for sure. i suppose there will someday be a test to see if we've had it?
i'm working on NOT getting it again! i understand that happens...

My wife and I were also hit by a respiratory virus in December. Sudden onset cough, fever 102, aches, diarrhea. Lasted about 10 days as I recall. I figure the wife brought it home from the YMCA and I picked it up two days later. I also had taste & smell changes which really makes me think we might have already been through this. I’d like to get one of the antibody tests when they are available.

My understanding is that people who were positive are testing negative when they recover. So I don’t think a test is currently available to see if you had it. And developing such a test would be a complete waste of time and assets when they still don’t have a rapid test for positives or a vaccine.

It is a viable valuable test to determine if your blood contains the antibodies present in people who have had the virus. They are using it to harvest blood plasma with antibodies which are given to patients who are seriously ill. This has been done since Spanish Flu days with some success. Currently they have to draw a test tube of blood to test but they are developing a stick test that gives immediate results.

If anyone wants to stop by my place with a ziploc bag, we have antibodies to spare.

It can also confirm antibodies in people who only had light symptoms or were asymptomatic who were not tested. Like right now, out here in Kansas you have a very hard time getting tested unless you meet certain guidelines. Like severe illness, contact with known infected persons, etc. As you know the test for the actual virus will come back negative after the fact. The antibody test will come back positive if antibodies to the virus are present and they stay around for quite awhile.

What I don't understand is why we don't use the test South Korea is using.
Drive up, get swabbed, 6 hours later a result.
