Pretty cool.
He builds a bass too using a similar technique.

He's done several like this using other stuff. I saw a vid by a guy that poured colored resin into a mold he made for a guitar body. He griped about it being a bit too heavy; guess he never heard about the reason why the Ampeg Dan Armstrong guitar line never quite got off the ground:

I had one of those.
Didn't like it at the time, but I sure wish I had it now.

Oh yeah. 12 lbs of boat anchor.
But the real ones are very collectible.

I had one of those. Didn't like it at the time, but I sure wish I had it now. Why is now different from then. Is it because it was really heavy for holding while standing but being our age and sitting while playing at home makes it more doable? Just curious.

It didn't ROCK.
The (interchangeable) pickups that I had at the time weren't the sound I was looking for, and I had no clue (or internet) to find different ones.
And now, they're worth about four grand.

Keef played one on tour in the 70s for a brief while.
I have a feeling they were used for props in this vid. Certainly not in the studio:
Jeez Looeez, Dan, you can drive a truck through them teefs!

Pretty cool. He builds a bass too using a similar technique. Novel idea! Not my type thing but I have to commend them for the thought and time spent creating probably the most unique guitar ever made

It might reveal the spot on my shirt trying to eat and play at the same time LOL

The resin guitars I've played all sounded like poop. It was about as unideal of of a building material for an instrument as you could imagine. The colored pencils and other things are a good idea for the weight factor, though... those are very light weight, so it hopefully averages out a bit. Might sound (marginally) better, too.
