I've got one of the usually totally hated by most all folks 135 Watt Twin from around 1980ish, bought it new.
Still point to point wiring, heavy as hell, blew the stock Fender speakers the first night out.
Put in some EV SRO 12" speakers, made it even heavier...but holy hell, that monster is still cooking to this day and I love it! Clean, grit, growl, peel your face back, it can do it all. Just be sure to get a strong back to lug it around for you.

Nice. 56 lbs would put it about the weight of a 59 bmri. I put a neo lil Texas in my drri and just love it. I’ve heard good things about the Celestion creamback neo.

Those SRO's have proven bullet proof even with the stout power that thing puts out. It's also a real room heater, puts out some serious heat when cranked.

High wattage, very good tone, high sensitivity rating (101-102 db or better output per watt) and HUGE magnet structure. This speaker is definately very good for everything but the back

When I was a teen back in the 1970's I built some massive homemade speakers for my stereo based on EV drivers, each box had not one, but two 15" EV bass drivers, a large EV mid horn and the massively overbuilt EV T350 tweeter horns all in a tuned ducted port cab as big as a refrigerator. I powered them with again, not one, but 2 Dynaco ST 400 power amps I built from kits, one for each channel & each stereo amp was bridged to mono for 500 RMS per amp.To say that system was loud would be an understatement. Kids...what will they think of next?
