I remember using these on 30" scale basses in the past. As I recall it was somewhat the feel of flats and the tone of rounds. I don't slap so that doesn't matter. Maybe I should order a set.

I installed them on a fretless bass and found them to be nice. Trouble is, they are now old and I would like to try both SIT silencers and the Rotosound Pressurewound strings. Also, it isn't my bass but I have access to it and the owner wants flatwound strings on it. We'll see.
I probably just need to order up that fretless Kiloton in Turquoise Metal Flake with a Mint guard I have been pondering.

I'm considering pressurewounds for my Mex Jazz fretless. I bought it years ago with some kind of flats, maybe chromes. I'm a flats guy, but these didn't do much for me. I've renewed interest in it and threw a set of rounds on it that were sitting in my drawer. The rounds give a much better fretless "mwah" vibe. I've never had pressurewounds before, but I would like to try them.

Never could definatively say exactly what it was..(was weird I couldn't put my finger on it) but I stopped using them after trying 2 different times a few years apart with the same results. I then tried GHS Pressurer wounds...they were flat a blah sounding to me. The Flats I ended up loving (but not at first due to tension being light) I have learned to play them. My issue was fast plucking of the string was not easy until I moved a little closer to the bridge. I have found my sweet spot on them. The tone I love though is closer to the neck
