I have several Tele's and they are all ash. 4 of those puppies downstairs if I remember right. No ash Strats.

Fender: Losing their way one choice at a time. It's not really their choice. In a few years nobody will be able to get it anymore.

They are certainly able to get it; just like Gibson etc kept using..Rosewood.

I have two ash telecasters and one alder. They are G&L guitars. The alder body telecaster is lighter in weight than each of the ash guitars. However, the ash grain comes through the finish very nicely, whereas the alder is a solid color, bel air green. Love all three of these. I think the G&L teles which are made in Fullerton, CA are a fine product.

I think the G&L teles which are made in Fullerton, CA are a fine product. My Alder 2011 bass was heavier than the Ash models I now have. Guess Some Ash is heavier than others even in Swamp Ash. Same for Alder it looks like.

My ash-bodied 50th Anniversary AmSe is the lightest Fender I have. My 50th Anniversary AmSe is a boat anchor. No ideas how much it actually weighs but it's certainly heavier than every other Strat I own. I also have an Ash 2010 AmDlx Strat that isn't heavy and is about the same as the rest of my Strats. To me this highlights the variations with the weight of Ash.
