Has anybody every tried one of these? Curious to hear your stories of why or why you haven't signed up. For myself, I more of Truefire type. I'll download a specific lesson from time to time, or may a small course. But I've never signed up for an ongoing program, such as Guitar Mastery Method (which is all over my online advertising, for some reason). My guess is that legit programs work well... if you're willing to work the program. (Ah, there's the rub.)

Hi Langford. I have experience with two of these courses. One is jamplay. One is Country Guitar Chops. I like country guitar specifically so those are the lessons I look for in jamplay, and Country Guitar Chops is dedicated solely to country guitar. In each case I believe the lessons are very very good, if not superb. You can choose your level of lesson according to how well you presently perform for one thing. Another is that they are basically very cheap, like $10 per month. For the amount of material one can have presented to him or herself, it is really a good deal. The limiting factor is one’s own desire to work through the lessons. That’s just my take.

I wish I had such a resource many years ago. I have learned so much from online lessons on youtube as well as those I've paid for, like Truefire and Country Guitar Chops. The only problem is me - I tend to sample a bit of this and that but never follow through. Like learning licks that I never use in my playing. Ken Carlson, Country Guitar Chops, has so much good stuff that it's hard to absorb it. But some of it does sink in and I find I have a few new phrases to add to my "vocabulary".

I do www.GuitarTricks.com. Its like $80/year but they are licensed by the publishers so the score and tab are accurate. They break down all the guitar parts and go thru each slowly and then up to speed. They do play along and with backing tracks. They have all genres (rock, country, punk, funk etc) as well as courses for learning country or rock (including lead playing). Its all done via videos with the score/tab available to view The key is its accurate to the original. Not someones cheat method or best guess method. the instructors are all studio musicians The videos have the brady bunch view. They show close ups of both hands and when another guitar enters it gets its own picture in picture. Then they break the parts down note by note. to me its worth it YMMV
