I just received a 100 watt Weber Impedance matcher on last Thursday. I used it to connect my Katana amp to not only the Katana's 8 ohms speaker but also connected one of the 12" speakers in my Fender Ultimate Stereo Chorus's 8 ohm Eminence 1258 speaker also. On the front panel there are Switchable impedance settings of the particular amp you are using ( 2.5, 4, 8, 16 etc) and 2 parallel outputs that also are switchable impedance settings for the speakers you are using. So I connected the 8 ohm output of the Katana to the Weber matcher set to 8 ohms and the Katana speaker to one of the output jacks and one of the two Fender amps 12" 8 ohm speakers to the other output jack and set them to 4 ohms. It sounded great. The Eminence rated at 101db sensitivity was a little louder than Katana's speaker rated about 99 db but the amp sounded really good. Before I actually hooked up the Fender amp speaker I tested the sound of the Katana with and without the Weber box (set to 8 ohms output). I could not perceive any difference in tone. Also on the back is a 3 prong audio output for balanced signal recording I guess and a headphone jack with volume control. This thing is built like a tank! I really like it so far. To have done a test of two 12" speakers together I would have had to wire them in series for 16 ohms (not fond of that) or buy two 16 ohm speakers. Another Katana Wazacraft speaker is $180 ~ and Eminence only has certain models rated at 16 ohms. I wanted to see if it was worth messing with soundwise and the answer is YES
