no GAS (no room)....just my Roland Phantom 64. Does everything I need...well I did add an Elctro-harmonix Lester K rotary speaker pedal that I love. I also have a hooter (melodica) that comes in handy
used to have a Farfisa but the wife thought it too ugly for the house.

Don't have keyboard GAS because my RadioShack brand keyboard (probably a rebranded Casio) (or something like that) and my 43-year-old spinet do everything I need. I need to play them more.

Always GAS'ing here. Mostly organ related stuff anymore. Been gigging a lot lately with just my new(er) Hammond SK1-73 in an effort to cut down on how much gear I'm hauling around.

^^ I have seen the Big Dog's rig...complete with extra large and heavy Leslie (but WHAT a sound!!) Many a Clamfest has been made sweeter just by having Joe and his rig there

I can attest to that! I grew up listening to, and loving that "Hammond" sound. K9s rig is absolutely impressive, along with the big Leslie speaker. (AKA the "Fridge") I will take that sound over any piano or synthesizer any day. Go Clamfest!

Used to have a keyboard player who had a b3 and leslie. We lugged that around for years. Sure sounded good tho.

I just have GAS, PERIOD! Guitars, basses, drums, keyboards, technology, broccoli, oh...wait...that last one didn't belong here. It's a different kind of gas.
If I had the time I would get back into practicing piano, which I actually started out on. Just not enough time in the day to do it. Maybe when I retire if my fingers will still function.
As far as electronic keyboards go, I have all that I would ever need in software on my computer. If I had to purchase the hardware versions of all of the software synths and sample libraries I have on my computer it would run into hundreds of thousands of dollars. I love technology!
All I have left for electronic keyboards in the hardware versions are my trusty old Minimoog, a DX7, and a Hammond RT-3 with a couple Leslies. Other than that it's just an 88 key MIDI controller and my computer. I could spend a lifetime just going through sounds, one by one, for all of the stuff I have.

You semi-conscripted Clamfest roadies will be happy to hear that I have added a much smaller and lighter Leslie 21 System, a 2102 Mk2 on top of a 2121 stationary unit, to my artillery battery. Not quite as ballsy sounding as the big 122 aka "The Fridge" but it does move some air when you pour the coals to it. Much lighter and easier to move around though. @griz: I'd like to make it down to DC if possible, let's chat about details. I can't see myself driving back and forth in one day so if you all from Joisey are getting rooms somewhere I may want to do the same.

Are there any keyboards that have ONLY the piano sound and a switch for the B3 sound.

^^ the Yamaha keyboards have a piano, organ and strings. Full weighted keys (not my preference as I get older). Pretty much what you are looking for Most others have so much more but are programmable so you get favorites buttons. My Roland Phantom X can launch the shuttle but I have 8 assignable buttons for the sounds I use the most. Fair warning the B3 sounds of most keyboards are not that good with the VK types (B3 only) being the exception. I use an Electro-harmonix Lester K to punch up that sound.
The B3 sound is many depending upon the independent speeds of the high and low speakers and of course the initial sound patch you use

My non-Hammond gear is all Yamaha. The organ patches are ok, good enough for gigging with a classic rock band where you occasionally need an organ patch. You might want to look at the Korg SVR boards. Pretty passable organs and has a built in tube overdrive and pretty much all classic/vintage style other voices. They come in 88 and 73 key versions. A decent used one won’t break the bank either. I picked up a Hammond SK1-73 for smaller club gigs. I wanted a small lightweight rig for tight quarters rooms and this one fit the bill and gave me the better organ voices I wanted. The piano and wurly patches are ok. It’s a bit pricey though.

I have a Hammond RT3 and HR40 tone cabinet sitting in the family room, and had an M3 with 147 Leslie but sold that pair about five years ago.

I have a small electronic keyboard and a Leslie loudspeaker. I use the keyboard for its drum feature and the Leslie to play guitar through. Jim

Guitar through a Leslie is a GREAT sound. I love doing that. It's one of the reasons I have 2 Leslies. One for the Hammond and one for guitars.

I'm as much a frustrated keyboard player as I am a guitarist. Never could afford a keyboard, growing up.
I realized about ten years ago that I can get a nice Moog for not too much $$$.
Now I have two Moogs, a two-octave MIDI bass pedal set, a little Arturia synth, and of course a line mixer to submix them all.

Now I have keyboard GAS, but not for myself.
Daughter-in-law has been working mornings while we watch the kids at our house. I have been giving two of them daily piano lessons on our piano. They are coming along fairly well, since they already play band instruments when school is in session; plus, I like to think they inherited my musical aptitude.
It occurred to me to give the family their own inexpensive piano-type instrument. I don't want to spend more than $600. I am looking at the Yamaha P-45. Everybody has them for $499 (MSRP $599.99). It has 88 keys (can play 64 at a time), a sustain pedal, and a music stand.
Anybody here ever played one of these? It is at Yamaha's low end, but they are a respected brand name.

In the past 2 weeks I upped the level to $900. Either a Yamaha P125 plus stand, bench, and real pedals; a Casio Privia S1000 plus stand, bench, and real pedals; or the Kawai KDP70. I know two places, one of which carries Yamaha, the other of which carries Casio, where I can play and hear what the Yamaha and Casio feel/play and sound like. The Yamaha dealer is about 40 miles from my house and the Casio dealer is about 10 miles away.
The nearest Kawai dealer is about 150 miles away, in Alabama. But they have the best looking setup.

I think I mentioned in another thread that I sprang for the Casio Privia PX-870. I had to order it from Amazon, because that was the only place I could find one in stock. It came from a place in Texas called Austin Bazaar. $1049 including the bench. I've played it myself in their house. I like it a lot. Now I do have GAS (DPAS) for one of my own. I like the way it plays and the way it sounds. It's a lot better than my electronic keyboard that I was talking about a few months ago in an above post.

A few months ago I started researching keys. My search has narrowed in recent weeks to a Yamaha MODX7. I am hopeful I'll actually be able to play one in the next few weeks. But, in the meantime, I would enjoy hearing from others their review or opinion about it.

More research now adds the Roland Juno DS76 to my shopping list. Time is on my side during the pandemic. Plenty of options/time. Any opinions on the Roland greatly appreciated.

Have you checked a site called Piano Dreamers? They have reviewed many keyboards. They liked the Roland DS series (the 76 refers to the number of keys) and gave it an 8.5 out of 10. Piano Dreamers review of Roland DS Series

HenryJ that review is actually what opened my eyes to the Roland DS. The you tube reviews seem very positive as well plus its priced considerably under the Yamaha. Thanks.

TJ, it sounds like you've been doing what I did for 6 weeks or so, looking for a digital piano, visiting some of the same sites. As far as being priced less than the Yamaha, there is a keyboard reviewer named Jeremy See from Singapore who believes that Yamaha keyboards might be overpriced, since Yamaha makes (acoustic) pianos that are in a league with Steinway.
I think I got mouse elbow from all the online browsing.
