Curious about these pedals, never played one and don't have a local store that has them. Can I get a breakdown on the differences? I'll have to buy online and I have enough dud pedals! Thanks!

Just to give you a bump, I'll say I've owned a Plimsoul, my guess V1. It was one of those "honeymoon ended" things, like a lot of drive pedals. I can't quite articulate what turned me off, aside from just never feeling like I found the sweet spot. Tried it in 9v/18v and just didn't end up loving it. I'm currently running a Wampler Euphoria and an SL Drive and really liking the combo. Honestly, I could probably get by with just the SL Drive. I expected Marshall grind but the pedal has a lot to offer on the way there.

I had the same reaction! My friend made great sounds out of it, but I could never bond with it. Sold it. My dirt now is the Timmy into the Dude into the modded RAT. Love my tone and versatility.

I've never tried the V2 but I've had a V1 on my board for a decade. It got bumped a couple of times but found its way back. It pairs very well with my Keeley BD2. When I stack them, I can get very nice Plexi'ish tones out of my Maz 18. I don't see it going anywhere. The Stage 2 knob is subtle but it allows some tweaking of the gain structure between American and British gains.
Speaking of the Dude, I also have a Melody (Dude + EQ) and I can get it to sound exactly like the Plimsoul or very close to the BD2.
