Thanks for the encouragement, Rev. I've heard nothing but good things about these guitars.
I'm curious. With the reputation of the SH-58 pickups, why did you swap them?

I was trying to get a more "Gretsch-y" sound from a semi-hollow. EJ's pickups were designed to do that. Worked well - I liked the tone of the original pickups, I was just trying to get outside the box, since I had/have other semi-hollow guitars.

I received an email yesterday and no delivery update. It's been 5 weeks. I told them I'll consider cancelling at the end of the week if there's no updated delivery.

I cancelled the guitar. I had a meeting yesterday with company management about a new role. The role is a lateral move to help in an area that's floundering but my pay structure with change to more commission-based. Until I know what that looks like, gear purchases will be curtailed.

Sorry it worked out that way, but maybe it’s for the best. Especially with this news. But it still sux.

Thanks guys! I wasn't getting a warm fuzzy waiting for it anyways. With this COVID thing, how has it impacted quality at the factory? Who knows?
If things don't change much financially, and they get the guitars in stock, I can always pull the trigger later.

Out of curiosity, and in case I changed my mind, I added my name to the email list for when they came in. Still nothing after six weeks.

I cancelled an order foe an Epi 335 pro like that. You just get tired of hanging in limbo after a while. Six weeks is a long time. Im guessing that with the shutdown and gap in production , alot of things are going to be like that. Visited my local GC and they have very limited inventory right now.

Coming to this discussion late but I've had the JSM10, John Schofield signature guitar for a couple years. A very nice guitar. JSM10 & a George Benson review.

I think the flow of MIK guitars has been seriously curtailed. Look at Rondo Music’s site. Extremely low inventory.

I just checked it out, Eric. The lefties are especially meager.

I've always been bummed because Ibanez has never made either the John Scofield or George Benson signature guitars in a lefty model. I think BOTH would sell well with lefties. But, sadly, no go.
