"Why is it so difficult?"
Well, I thought I might have authored a neologism but Google has taught me once again about the scarcity of original thought; Proximity Paradox.
We have a need to be close to people, both physically and emotionally. But that proximity also kicks in the other more anti-social instincts. Come on in to my valley, but let me pee on the bushes first. The longer the same people engage, the more complicated things get.
Just my 2 unqualified cents.
