The satin will polish up to a nicer luster, as well.

Agree with the above. Every true guitar fan should own a 335 at least once in their life.
Sincerely, L. Carlton (Mr. 335)

I finally opened it up today. It's a 2020 - birthday 2/19/2020. It's got no flaws that I can find. What you see in the pics are reflections from the amp handle caps, below. The pickups sound clear and forward. Nice harmonic content. These are allegedly the T-Types... I'll verify when I change strings. I like 'em. The controls are wired righty and work well. The tone control on the bridge pickup is really great at knocking just a bit off the top of that pickup. When I change strings I'll also rub out the body a little and bring out a bit of lustre. Here's a family pic:

No, it's definitely satin. That Goldtop is satin too, but I buffed it out a bit. It came out nice - but not like a clear gloss.
It is a satin clear nitro - so it will never looks like clear gloss.
You should never separate your Gibsons from your Marshalls.

I love that burst . 335s are such a great guitar . I find with mine I have to set the action just a tiny bit higher than my other guitars to get optimum tone. You might not find that to be the case, but it works for me. You have to give us a review after you get it on the bench and play it for a while.

Thanks!
Will do.
I need to tweak the setup a little. The strings still sound ok so I might not get to the setup for a while.

Yeah, seriously! That's quite a collection of Marshalls under those guitars!
Let me know when you want to get rid of that SG Special (the one with the P-90's - whatever it's called). You obviously don't need it with all those other nice guitars! (Maybe it's time to finally add that Elitist to your herd?)

That poor Epi.
That’s a ‘50s trib that I put vintage style tuners on. It’s a great guitar.
At the moment, all the Gibsons are staying.
