My favorite Beatle song is side two of Abbey Road done by the Fab Faux. The Fab Faux are great.

Favorite Beatles song? Impossible! However, I can narrow it down to their early "pop" music; you know, the first few albums.

There are several.
Penny Lane would be among them

Oddball choice, but right now it's "When I Get Home" - A Hard Day's Night, side 2
Yeah I know... "I'm gonna love her 'til the cows come home"
But it has one of Lennon's best lines ever (I think)... "I've got no time for trivi-al-ity"

she said she said hey bulldog "Hey Bulldog" was the only decent song of the four new songs on the Yellow Submarine album and movie, IMHO. I wonder how John felt about contributing a perfectly good song to a contractual obligation project such as that one.

And Your Bird Can Sing - nice jangly guitar sound, cool intro.

This song always makes me happy. I dig the guitar break too.

And Your Bird can Sing..is by far my favorite...learning the guitar work has been a real challenge..and has given me a new appreciation as to how talented they were.

As I have posted before, here and on the old FDP, my two brothers and I used to jam on Beatles songs every year when our families got together for the Christmas season. One year, we planned ahead of time to work up "And Your Bird Can Sing." It went pretty good. Since the two guitars had humbuckers, it sounded rather Allman Brotherish. Which is actually self-flattering. But it was certainly a challenge for this bedroom player to work up. I don't think it was very challenging for my late lead guitar brother, since he regularly played in public and was a strong Beatle fan. Great song. We had lots of fun on that one.

Interesting point about dual guitars on it...If I'm not mistaken George played a 12 string....accompanied by Paul...Since I play it by myself without a 12 string, duplicating that sound has been a challenge...I recently purchased a Boss Harmonist and it helps, but I still need to experiment with it... If I can get close to nailing that sound I'll be overjoyed!

Back In The U.S.S.R. - just because no one else listed it yet - but I love the hook(s) in that song, simple as it is!
Two other top ones would both be Harrison numbers,
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Something (beautiful Harrison solo!)
