About 25 years ago I put a new light/fart fan switch in the bathroom. It wore out so I replaced it with a genuine Leviton this time. Cost 3x the price of the old one, a store no-name brand, but I shouldn’t have to replace it in my lifetime!
That’s done, now back to retirement!

'Til the fan itself burns out. But good news...if it's a Broan, they stock replacement parts forever. I had a bathroom fixture/fan give it up a couple of years ago. I was amazed that Broan still had a drop-in replacement unit for an item that was 30 years-old. And it was very reasonably priced and they were prompt at shipping. Good stuff to know in this "throw-it-away" world. Easy fix, too.

I’ve replaced the Braun fan once. Probably about 15 years ago. It does require a trip to the attic but is pretty easy.
I was thinking the bathroom switch wearing out shouldn’t be a surprise as it probably gets more use than any other switch in the house.
