you'd think this would be sop but it took me TWO incidents to drive the point home. first was quite awhile ago when I had about $20 worth of quarters in a compartment in the dash to be used for supplemental bridge toll. was a few days after getting the car serviced that I noticed I'd been cleaned out. second was semi recently. since I've had a smartphone I had no need for my Garmin gps so offered to give it to a friend. I reached into the glove compartment and only the power cord remianed. I think it finally sunk in....

I always check the trunk to make sure I don't drive away from the service center with a body inside. Once .... shame on them. Twice ...shame on me.

Like that scene from the film Down By Law, where Tom Waits is paid $1K to "deliver a car."
Problem is--it's more than just the car...

Lost an iPod that way. Started parking in a different garage which cost them thousands of dollars by now. Enjoy the outdated iPod you could get for $50 on eBay.

These stories always remind me of this. The moral is never mess with a determined engineer.

If they will steal from you then they will lie to you. New service center is needed.
