Sorry for our sadness. If there is a rock and roll heaven. They have a helluva band. Sweet seminal player. Rock On, Rick

Another great one fallen by the wayside. RIP and thanks for the music/inspiration, Mr. Green.
My favorite from his more recent output:

Oh dear...this is really sad. The guy was great. Went through some rough spells, that's for sure. And then returned to the fold. It was great to see him come back and have some semblance of normalcy in his life. I hope he was content. Great talent. Sad time.

Yes it is sad. One of my very first albums was the FM blues album.

Surprisingly, he's one guitarist that I'm not very familiar with his work. Maybe I'll change that.

An inspiration and a favorite. Total blowtorch. BB King said “he’s the only white boy who can make me sweat.”

I remember exactly where I was when I first heard Oh Well on my transistor pocket radio, Standing on the north east corner of downtown Linden in the summer of 69. There was nothing like that on the air then and it changed me. Rest in peace Mr. Peter Green

Such a great song, then and now.
He’s licking to have lived as long as he did. So many were lost young.

Surprisingly, he's one guitarist that I'm not very familiar with his work. Maybe I'll change that. That video of Oh Well is also a good watch. While I was born about a decade after he left Fleetwood Mac, I have been turned onto Peter Green in the last 10 years and I am sorry to hear about his death. Neil Peart and Peter Green die in the same year? This is already a big bummer year for musicians for me.

In the old man blues band we play 5 of Peter Green's songs. More than by any other artist.
There is something about his music, more than what you hear on first listening.

Albatross is a beautiful song. Peter left quite a legacy.

Saw Greenie and FM in 1970. Went to the show on my older brother's recommendation. I knew nothing abut them. They were awesome. PG was still wielding that '59 Les Paul back then. Listen to those Live at the Boston Tea Party shows. That's pretty much what I saw. Saw Hendrix the summer before. I was so lucky. Peter Green is one of the biggest influences in why I picked up the guitar. He had a tortured soul. Hopefully he will finally get his rest. I'm stunned.

His playing was unique; probably due to his “tortured soul”. I got interested in Peter after listening to Gary Moore’s “Blue for Greenie” LP.
RIP

Huge loss. If my friend didn't notify me, I wouldn't have known as I'm normally on the major US L and R sites (to compare slants). Not sure if I'm more sad of the loss or the un-reporting. I guess I need to start checking BBC as well.

I was under the impression, that he had parted this life about 15 years ago ...
I wasn't paying attention...
