Sometimes we count on others in the outside world, to spot things about ourselves that we wouldn't ordinarily see: "you've got something on your teeth." Or "Did you know that your toupee is on backwards?" On occasion, it's for something more serious. A TV news viewer sent an e-mail to reporter Victoria Price in Tampa Bay, Florida after seeing her on the tube: “Hi, just saw your news report. What concerned me is the lump on your neck,” the viewer’s message said, according to a screen grab shared by Price. “Please have your thyroid checked. Reminds me of my neck. Mine turned out to be cancer. Take care of yourself.” The reporter heeded the advice. Tests revealed it was cancer after all. She's having surgery for it. The moral of the story: when the singer in your band says "your fly is open," as you climb on stage after the break, don't question her roving eye, just do an about-face and deal with it. deadline.com/2020/07/florida-tv-journalist-victoria-price-warned-about-her-thyroid-cancer-by-viewer-1202994766/

Here's my experience.
Me: "Hey, you have a taillight/brake light out."
Them: "Yeah, I know."

She: "Your fly is open..."
Me: "Yeah, I know."

The singer in the band (as you climb on stage after the break)... She: "Your fly is open..." Me: "Yeah, I know." Me to the singer in the air conditioned club: "Hey, your headlights are on!" She: "What a pig!" Me: "Just trying to help."

One of the cohosts of HGTV show Flip or Flop was warned by a viewer about a lump on his neck. Turned out it was very serious and life threatening. He was off the show for quite some time. Local news coverage was nonstop as the show takes place in the OC. TMI for me.

This one time I was watching Fox news, and I could see Jamie Colby's breast "hardware" (metal) due to the super bright studio lights. It wasn't hard to spot either. At least it wasn't cancer!
