Here is a sample of my '65 DRRI. I bought this amp about 5 years ago and it had priority position in the living room for awhile but got retired to the closet. Now it's coming back out of retirement. I'll do the same for some of my other amps as a I try to think through thinning the herd. But obviously I am a huge fan of this amp. I think it's a keeper.

If I had to go down to 1 amp, I could roll with just my drri. Just saying. Hopefully that day won’t come, but......

When I downsized my equipment when I retired my DRRI was on my Do Not Sell list. And I was a man who believed for many years that anything less powerful than a Super Reverb wasn't a gigging amp.

Same here . I used to gig with a 59 bmri. I had a drri and regretfully sold it. A few years back I purchased another drri , put a lil Texas speaker in it and it’s been the best amp I have ever had. BTW, I retire next week and my drri is the only amp on that Do Not Sell list . No matter what guitar I play thru it , it shines.

Bought my DRRI, one with burgundy tolex, wheat grill cloth and Jensen Alnico speaker. Tubed it with NOS RCA’s mostly and never looked back. My #1 by a country mile!

Man, what a great sounding amp! So warm, yet sparkly.

My Princeton Reverb II does Deluxe Reverb pretty good, especially after adding the long reverb tank. But in the twilight of my gigging days I bought a DRRI and to my ear that was probably the best gigging amp I've ever owned, and I've owned a bunch. Sold during a scale down as a redundancy and probably shouldn't have.

At 74, my gigging days are over. SO... I sold my beloved '72 SFDR and replaced it with a new ZT Lunchbox Reverb amp.
It was hard to let go of the SFDR, but I love the ZT too and so all is good. Just 10lbs in weight and all the power and tone I need for home and Open Mics.

A few years back (actually it was probably about 15-20), I was interested in a DRRI and so I checked on out at a local store. As a Fender guy, I really wanted to like it...but it sounded "boxy" to me, so I passed on it. Anyone else think it sounds a bit boxy?

Nope. Boxy to me is describes the blues jr, not the drri.

I have a vintage ‘65 DR and a DRRI that I converted to turret board with Mercury Magnetics OT and Choke. These amps rock. I think my ‘60 Tweed Deluxe, ‘63 Brown Deluxe, and the two BF Deluxe Reverbs will be with me to the end.

The low end on that demo video is awe striking! Just resonant, round, and full sounding. Love me some DRRI

I'm going to do a demo of the Twin Reverb next. It has the same hit you in the chest tone but more of it.
