I don't know if these are available everywhere (the name may imply otherwise), but someone offered me one of these in the office today, and they may be the best BBQ chips I have ever tasted. Not only are they not fake orange like most BBQ chips, they are very spicy. Definitely have a little bit of burn to them, which is good for those of us who like spicy food. I shudder to think of the kick their Jalapeño flavor must have. Hals New York BBQ Chips

I'm going to pretend I didn't click on this thread and that link. Chips are like crack to me so I try to avoid them, but I broke down last week and bought a 6 oz bag of Herr's BBQ [local product] to have w/my lunch sammich. They were gone by the end of the night...

I am not a chip eater either, for exactly that reason. And BBQ are my favorite. It was someone in my office saying "you won't believe how spicy these are" that made my try it.
Thankfully, as they were not mine, I was able to "just eat one". But apparently, they sell them in the deli across the street, which is bad news!

Timing is everything!
I saw these last week for the first time, in a deli that I sometimes visit for lunch. I picked up a bag of the Hal's BBQ chips and off I went. The first thing I noticed when I opened the bag was the lack of orange residue in the bag. I honestly didn't expect much in the way of flavor, but man was I surprised! The chips were really crisp and very tasty. Not having to scrub the orange coating off my hands afterwards was just a bonus. I plan to try some of their other flavors, and expect they will be as good as the BBQ. Two thumbs up from me...

Every now and then, you hit one or two chips that somehow got stuck or something during the cooking process and came out dark and very slightly burnt. I love those! Now finally: really tasty

I love Kettle Cooked Chips but in regular variety and not too salty. With high blood pressure I don't eat a lot of salt. Maybe just enough for mild taste
