It's that time of year again. I have to take a moment to lavish praise on the "bFan". Got one of these gizmos that blows cool air from between the bedsheets at the foot of the bed a year or two ago. What a difference on hot nights! Fan speed controlled by a wired rheostat, does more good than my overhead and window fans combined. No A/C needed!

That is pretty cool, pun intended.
I never had a ceiling fan until we renovated 7 years ago, and that thing damn near saved my life. It started malfunctioning, something was wrong with the switch and it would just shut itself off. Diagnosis was it was too much stress pulling in the string to start/stop it. For some reason, the builder neglected to connect it to the light switch.
So, when I had it replaced I had the electrician replace the light switch with a double switch, one for the light and one for the fan. Now I never pull the string.
Only reason I still have a string is that I was able to find an exact replacement, so it was easy to swap out the working parts and leave the mounting stuff in place. Plus it was like half price at the time. Otherwise it’d be a unit with a remote and string pulling would not be an issue.
Off on a tangent a bit, but these things happen. I would consider a bFan, I think I would like that. Who doesn’t like the sheets to be cool??

Only drawback to this idea (I remember when the inventor posted vids online years ago) is if you or anyone else under the same covers..."brekka de weend" as they say south of the border.

Well, if someone else does, anyway. Yours are yours, they are a work of art!

"the bedsheets at the foot of the bed"
I had promised myself that I would never look into what lies between the bed sheets at the foot of the bed. There may be something down there that could harm me.

Well at least whatever it is would be cool and comfortable.

You've just given me an idea for an "add on" to the bFan: a switch to reverse the action, so the fan pulls the air instead of blowing it. "Thar she blows, Mr. Smeed .... reverse her .... reverse her!"
