I didn't buy one. I went to my melitta pour over. It was better but blaaa.
Yesterday I ran out of coffee so I made the 5 min run to Costco, bought some beans and used the Turkish grind on the grinder.
OMG!!!!!!
I'm in coffee heaven
(Side note, all I bought was a bag of beans, the cashier asked me , how do you come here and only get one thing)
I may have to brew a pot through my Mr Coffee and see if it is better.

I’m still using my Keurig here. I reduce the amount in the cup to give it a little more hp. Nespresso is one of the best pod type makers that I’ve tried but up here you have to buy the coffee online. Looking forward to other suggestions from the “ morning club.” ☕️

I predict it will not be as good through the Mr. Coffee. It very-probably doesn’t get the water hot enough.

Short of water temperature issues, speed of pour and perhaps inferior paper filters I can't see how a Melitta pour over can't produce the best a coffee can offer. I have a kettle with a thermometer that shows optimal range. I wet the coffee and filter let it rest a bit then slowly continue the pour in an even manner.
But that's just me.

I wouldn't expect the Mr Coffee machine to be better than the pour over, I just ment better than before. I do like to make a whole pot.
I suppose I could pour over the 10 cups into the decanter.
But I'd really like to turn it on and forget it instead of having a ritual.

We’ve used a variety of coffee makers over the years, but end up returning to a Mr. Coffee. I’ve sometimes thought that the “strength” of the coffee being brewed could be increased by increasing the number of filters used, like, maybe two (three?), which would increase the time the hot water is in contact with the ground coffee; never tried this, as we are satisfied as it is....

But I'd really like to turn it on and forget it instead of having a ritual. We were using an inexpensive drip machine until a couple weeks ago. I started the brew with a pour-over of properly-heated water to “bloom” the grounds. Then I would let the machine brew the rest. It was an improvement over just letting the machine do the entire brew.

My wife and I use a Keurig and we like it. We try to limit drinking too much coffee and if I have a 12 or 10 cup pot I'll drink it all. We do set it to the hottest setting to brew the coffee. Plus she and I like a different brand of decaf for after dinner. My favorite coffee is Chock Full of Nuts 100% Colombian.

I've got a stainless pourover set and a french press, but it's hard to give up the "fresh brewed--right now" of the Keurig. I can't stand coffee that has spent more than a few minutes on a warming pad. I recommend Peet's Major Dickason's Blend for a richer taste at a decent price, about forty cents a cup through amazon prime. Marley brand coffees are good but pricey. For a short time Laughing Man was putting out really good K-cups, but they have changed to stale and weak. Perhaps ramping up production ruined the product?

Technivorm Moccamaster is our caffeine generator of choice. Pricey, but all copper and brass boiler section, we have had this model for about 8 years. Purchased after I got tired of buying a new coffeemaker every year.

We purchased a Cuisinart "Coffee on Demand" DCC-3000 years ago, and we like it so much we bought a spare in case they quit making them. It delivers one cup at a time by pushing a lever on the front and holding it down until your cup is full. Obviously it stores the hot coffee inside the unit. This combined with a coffee bean grinder has resulted in the best and most consistent coffee out of all the different units we've owned. Cuisinart DCC-3000

I grind whole bean, my favorite is BRCC Blackbeard's Delight. (100% Brazilian)

I got the Kirkland Colombian Supremo beans. And what's your feedback? We grind every day, for that day’s coffee. The fresher - the better, imo at least. 8 O'clock coffee beans. Currently use a Hamilton Beach 12 cup for my morning cups - easy, consistent, great strong coffee.

Man, you guys are coffee connoisseurs! We like to use a French press on the boat. Never give much thought to type or brand of coffee though. Folgers seems to work ok for us. At home the best part of waking up is..well, you know. My good old Black and Decker is set on auto-start so the coffee is already brewing when I wake up at 5:30.

I’ve got the best of both worlds with my Hamilton beach flex brew. It does k cups, pods or single cup grounds on 1 side and a drip coffee maker to brew a coffee on the other. Works and tastes great. Better than my old mr coffee and almost as fast as my old keurig. I’ll save beans for when I retire and have more time on my hands.

Too much caffeine for me though.
I'm figuring out how much coffee to use to not be flying high all day.
I'll buy a darker roast next time

I got the Kirkland Colombian Supremo beans. I’ve been using this since Costco opened a store here about 3 years ago. I grind them on demand at home with a burr grinder.
