1) In the bar at the top, click "Profile".
2) On the right side, click "Edit Profile".
3) Click the "Personal" tab.
4) The first item there is your Display Name. Change it however you like (capitals, spaces, etc.). Then hit "Save Personal Settings" at the bottom.
You should be good to go.

That's interesting. I have been registered on another proboards site for a number of years and wondered why my user name was in all lowercase.
Now, I have to decide whether to make the H and J uppercase on both forums or just keep it all lowercase, like e. e. cummings. did.

I think there is a irritation because proboard needs an account, and inside that account, you can have several forum accounts for different forums. those are the all lowerase usernames. but once inside one of these forums, you can change the *display* name to be different from the user name - and I think this works independently for each forum/site.

I've decided to change my long time FDP user name (littleuch) to another identity I have used on line. just testing to see if profile shows correctly. I assume my log on credentials stay the same as when I first registered?
(Edited: yes, log ID does not change with profile name change)

It is appropriate, for me at least, to leave the old and begin anew again.

Thanks for using the "formerly known as" thing in the profile, this way we know you're you!

Excuse me, new master, but I found the profile button, but I don't see the "edit profile" button anywhere on the profile page? ?

Off topic, but since this is a site help topic kind of thread I figured it was better than starting a new thread for my question, which is... Is there a way to "like" a direct comment, opposed to quoting it in a follow up post which could be several posts down from the one you like? I know some other boards, like the Toyota 4Runner forum, allow you to directly "like" a post with a similar thumbs up as Facebook. I know that this is a free forum, so I guess you get what you pay for, but just thought I'd ask. You can delete if you want to remain on point. Thanks!

The option to “like” posts exists, but I asked that question yesterday and nobody said they wanted to have that feature, so it’s disabled.
