My Son in Law built this 4 guitar/ bass Rack for me from scratch. Very happy. He wanted to build me a 6 guitar rack like his but I have limited space so I requested a 4 guitar rack! 😊 i.imgur.com/LpTFIK9.jpg

Very nice. Lucky you. I take it that the black is padding of some sort.

That is beautiful and super functional.
You could mount a small hook on one side to hang your coiled-up cable to store it off the floor but always at the ready.
Your son in law has skillz!

Gotta say, I have zero need for a guitar rack at all, but that is really a nice piece of craftsmanship.
if I had some sort of den or home office, I would get one o' those. Maybe I would play less rarely if the things were out there in the middle of a room rather than away in their cases.

Until recently I had no need either as they are on wall hangers but I am about to have major back surgery and not being able to lift for a while It will help to have them in a rack next to my chair where I can sit and get them to my lap much easier so this will come in handy plus incorporating Peegoo’s cable

I think, if you have the floor space, it’s so much cooler than hanging them on the wall. Maybe that’s just a personal preference, I don’t like the idea of hanging my guitars on the wall.

I don't hang my Gibson SG or Ibanez Archtop on the wall for long if at all but do not mind my Poly Finished Basses Hanging

Got the rack setup. Now all I need to do is clean all the crap off my computer desk so I can sit an practice without digging through the pile to find my picks lol 😂 imgur.com/a/See2vQGNot all my guitars and basses but the ones I use the most

Beaurtiful work. Question, how did he calculate ho much of an angle to lean the guitars. Id be fearfull of them falling.

So far they seem to be sitting at a nice angle looks identical to my guitar stand holding one bass next to it (with exception they are sideways on this rack) It appears to be 20 degrees or so. 3 1/2" from neck if guitar is sitting straight up. I checked this on a variety of instruments and they all measure the same. The back lower slanted slat the body rests on is exactly below the top of the rack while the center of the front slanted slat for the body to rest on is 5 1/2" forward of the front of the top bar the neck rests on.
