It was around $50 and I'm very pleased with it. It's a hanging stand where the weight of the guitar clamps the neck. It's sturdy and well worth the money.

I like ‘em a lot. If ya gotta have a stand, they’re a great choice, IMO.
I keep a couple around for the guitars I am playing at the time.

That style stand looks like it would work for a Flying V.
Anyone know for sure? Does it extend high enough?
My cheapo Guitar Center Stands don't really work.

BS, they get pretty tall. It fits my Gretsch Streamliner just fine.

Not sure of the model shown, looks similar to the model GS414 I have. It can be raised up plenty tall, checked it with my son's V if that helps.

I have 5 Hercules stands. Two singles and a double plus two display style racks, a 3-place and a 5-place.
The auto-grip hanger racks have two drawbacks as best as I can figure. One, the foam doesn't last forever and is a real pain to replace. It is best to use your fingers to manually rotate the foam at least once a week to prevent it wearing out in one spot. Two, I wish the heads would tilt/swivel to accommodate the uneven contact points on Fender headstocks.

I have a Herc and several Ultimates. Here's a V on an Ultimate: It's not perfect, but it works OK. Vs are generally anti-guitar-stand guitars, so lives on a wall hanger because of this, and it's never on a stand when playing out. Matter of fact, I don't use a guitar stand anywhere outside of my house. Too much of a liability.

Hercules are great, I have a couple including a triple. But I think I like the Ultimates better, especially for Fenders, due to the V support.

I have a couple in our rehearsal room and one in the house. They are great, but I always use a rack for gigs.

I buy them when they show up cheap on CL. You can get your pinched pretty good if your not careful.

I've used the Fender hanging stands for years. I use Roland synth GK-2 or 3 on a couple of my guitars and this keeps the extra wiring and stuff off the floor. A buddy of mine uses them on a Flying V and his explorer. Great for odd shapes. I hav'nt used the Hercules ones though.

Those are the ones I linked earlier. That strut is great, especially for Explorer shapes. And this stand will handle a bass well, too.

Here's my rig with the Hercules GS415BPLUS and my Warmoth Tele. MG, that's a good tip about rotating the foam.

I bought a Hercules floor stand after my guitar (on a cheesy lightweight stand) was knocked over and damaged a bandmate's very expensive tenor sax. It is as heavy as some of my guitars but that is a real benefit at times.

I have a double Hercules stand and I love it. I have the 2 guitars I play all the time out and hanging on it. Difficult, but not impossible, to knock over. Much more stable than a guitar stand where the guitar sits "ON" the stand instead of hanging on it.

They work great for acoustic guitars too.
