Why do I have to click two times on a thread to get it to respond. It can be a quick double tap or click on it once and it “highlights” the thread and I thought I would see happened if I clicked once and waited several seconds and then click a second time. It always works upon clicking that thread the second time. I mean, not trying to be a complainer as it is no big deal to double click but what happens, this being the only site that does this (in my recent experience) I go to other sites and then when I return here I forget and just click once to open then realize I need to click one more time. Happens with Safari and Firefox both

It’s not doing that for me, one click and I’m in. Using Safari when on a desktop.

It's one-clicking on my iPad. I wonder why you're having to poke it twice.

I’ve noticed this, too. This is how it works for me: If you are Not logged in, only one tap (iPad) gets you in. If you are logged in, it takes two. I’m thinking this must be some sort of “safety” feature to prevent accidental opening of a wrong thread, or something....

I want to thank you for taking the time to try and find a solution to my problem. Very much appreciated! I tried some DNS changes but so far hasn't helped. I will re-read the information you suggested. Computers I understand but Networks are my weak spot. Strange, I only need one click on the main forum topics but after clicking on those each individual original post requires to clicks.. Hmmmmm

I'm using a developer edition of FF.
This exact thing happens to me when the browser needs to be updated.

I'm using a developer edition of FF. This exact thing happens to me when the browser needs to be updated. Thanks, I will look into this. The other night in the wee hours of the morning I was clicking once and it was changing quickly. Then yesterday and today I noticed the problem was it was taking a long time to load the page or post change and if I waited 15 or so seconds it would go ahead and change eventually. Also found if I clicked twice it would change on 2nd click no matter how long or short of time I took to click again so with that, I guess It is just a slooooooow situation. Really weird since I am on AT&T Fiber 1Gbs speeds.

Update: appears it is Apples default browser Safari is the slow issue. I have now set Moes Tavern 2.0 as Home Page in FireFox. Since Apple is so generous to only allow you to make shortcuts using Safari and they only bring shortcuts up in Safari, I have Set this forum as my Home Page in FireFox. Now responds pretty quickly

Safari is working fast now....I did reboot my Ipad though

Took me a minute to catch the contextual meaning here LOL If it were Leftee or I, it’s pretty clear a Giraffe was involved. The only difference is whether that giraffe is left or right handed.
