Took a while to get motivated. Kinda autobiographical, kinda country, needs more beer.

Better mix.
A few side notes FWIW. The electric guitar is my new sonic blue Strat fitted with Achase4U/Rumpelstiltskin pickups. The Bari at the end is a Squier Strat converted to Bari using 14-18-28-38-48-58 tuned to B E A D F# B, as suggested by MIA FDPer TE52. The acoustic guitars are my Yamaha parlor that was recommended by Hushnel, recorded DI. I was going to use them as reference at first then track with my Martin, but I actually kinda like them. All tracked through my Avid Eleven Rack recommended to me here by a couple of yooze. The FDP/MT2 influence, ah-ight. I have some issues with my vocal performance, particularly when I get all "king of the foresty" in the bridge, but hey...this is a hobby.

Not too damn shabby for a "hobby."
Really nice tune with great playing and singing.

Thanks Peegoo. I was kinda going for a 70's type of pop/country radio production.

Excellent, as usual Larry! I do agree the remix is better. I have no complaint on the vocals. Always a strong suit on your recordings ... IMO. Thank You Sir, I appreciate you sharing.

I definitely dug it. There wasn't a whole lot wrong with that. It had a 'put on your favorite pair of jeans and chill' vibe to it.

Thanks Peegoo. I was kinda going for a 70's type of pop/country radio production. You definitely nailed that feel. This tune is right in the wheelhouse of early Jimmy Buffett (Come Monday, etc.), before he became a cartoon of himself. His early singer-songwriter stuff is superb.

"Come Monday".
Oh yeah, probably a better example than I could have thought of. I try getting as non-digitally as I can muster, using Softube Tape on each buss and in the master chain. Also tossed in mellotron samples (seems kinda ironic, samples of tape loop samples of strings🤔) for that particular sound.
Soundcloud seems to have disabled updating/editing the song with a new file and keeping the same link. It wants yoy to upgrade, which is a bummer since I'm already on mix #5 and don't want to keep uploading new links.
