While I am internetting Í'm listening to my neighbour tune his "racing" car.
He does some "drifting" races and occasional time trials.
Only ever works on it for a couple hours on a weekend afternoon, there is no trouble with noise.
Sounds good.

Well, not much. Sun successfully went down, so there's that.

It’s damp and foggy. Somewhere a dog barks. The giraffes look up nervously from their popcorn and movie.

9:35pm, 55+ community. Crickets and air conditioners. My block might as well be a 55+ community after dark. Dead silent all the time, even on a warm night like tonight.

Right now people are whooping and hollering and the sound of fireworks is echoing off of the buildings downtown, because the Titans just thoroughly beat the Ravens, and nobody can believe it. I just came in from the balcony and it's loud out there!

We've had a pack of 6-8 coyotes hanging around lately. I could hear them yipping last night at 10pm when I went out with the dog.
Between the snow on the ground and the big bright moon in the sky, I could see clearly all around my property. The coyotes were not far away, but I didn't see them.
The dog did his business and headed right back in the house. He doesn't like them any more than I do.

I just came in from the balcony and it's loud out there! I would have enjoyed being downtown last night, just to hear that. We live in a quiet neighborhood and apparently not many Titan fans.

Pretty quiet around here at 3:30 AM. I went out and laid face down in my driveway for a while, to see if anyone would stop to render aid or ask for directions, but I guess everyone has GPS now.

Not a lot at the moment. It’s -26 C with a wind that brings the windchill factor into play, feeling like -39 C. A tad chilly for outdoor shenanigans.

The Crows are having a meeting, they sound like they’re at Barbs ranch next door to me to the east. Other than that it’s pretty quiet here in Horse country. The neighbors on the west side are far enough away I can’t hear anything. I can’t hear Tim across the street unless he’s running the tractor around the house or working on motors,

Beautiful day in the District of Columbia with sunshine drying the streets damp from last night's downpours. Temp in mid-60s, which is unseasonably warm.

Just saw my neighbor pulling a trailer full of hay into the pasture to feed his cows. It's a chilly overcast day here in Middle Tennessee.

There's a squirrel climbing the bottle brush tree up front. A few crows bobbing around by the curb. An elderly woman in what appears to be a nightgown walking what appears to be a 20 year old chihuahua. An ambulance chirps in the distance. A Beautiful Morning playing on Panadora. Its 81f at 1:41 pm.

It's a balmy 66 degrees on this early January New England day. All is quiet on the homestead, save for the breeze blowing through the trees and the occasional sound of a power saw as my neighbor and I work on our respective home improvement projects.

"It's a balmy 66 degrees on this early January New England day."
Yep -- weird for January but absolutely welcome. I've been down in the shop fixing a chair whose glue joints had failed and watching a steady parade of folks walking down toward the beach.
Yesterday was nearly the same weather with a little less sun and a lot more wind. I took the opportunity to mulch some leaves that I didn't get to in the fall. Not to be outdone, my neighbor fired up his chainsaw to take care of some tree damage from the last storm. Usually a racket like that this time of year is from snowblowers.

4:40 pm here on PEI. -4C here with freezing rain this morning. Shifted to snow this afternoon. We expect 6-8" in total. We have lots of huge snowplows and people who know how to drive them, so no worries. All roads will be cleared off by tomorrow morning.(:>)

Nice day today but due to back issues and pain shooting down my legs I just took things easy. Sunday evening used to be my least favorite as Monday Morning work day was only hours away. At least being retired since November "every day is Saturday" now.

My big excitement today was finding a fully inflated child's swimming inner tube laying in my front yard. The bigger question is where, in the middle of January in Ohio, would that thing come from?

It has mostly stopped snowing here...we only got a couple inches, which in MN in January is a good thing! This winter has been cold, but pretty mild overall when it comes to blowing and snowing. Each day now is a little longer and a little closer to spring.

A couple minutes ago there was a loud screaming that sounded like a dog, according to my wife. I did not hear it. She ran outside to see lights briefly g turned on in a barn maybe half mile away. They have A LOT of animals. We heard voices saw a flashlight moving around. Called asking if they needed help, no answer. Thete is a locked gate on their road so I can get there. I am hopeful they have it under control. Dang.

It can be a quiet little village with a lot of farms in southern Wisconsin. Fall/early winter was odd this year, first ever snow on Halloween, but no white Christmas. They did do a first ever amazing Christmas parade and fireworks in Dec. Where they got the money for it, I don't know.
January, well we had an ice storm yesterday, and a bit of snow today so the plows were out making all sorts of noise early.
Very little goes on here, but....we have a new village president who seems hell bent of bankrupting the village. We are suffering through an endless revamp of main street/Fox River bridge, it's taken forever and still is not done. They bought up several houses and razed them for a useless small park by the river. It's a total mess trying to drive with all the construction, add to that the school system I work for has a massive $24 million rebuild on one school which is on the main street making traffic even worse.
I really want all this construction to just end...ugghhh....
