I was just given tonight a 1978 Blonde ES-175D in exchange for some work I did. IMO my work was worth about $1300.
Before I got too excited I found it had output jack body damage, the jack is still tight, stable, useable & works perfect. All wood around it is intact but the jack has been slightly pushed in (not pulled out), the surrounding cracked wood is not loose neither is the finish, it's quite stable, the max length of the cracks are 1.5" the long way & 1.25" body width way.
Overall other than that I'd rate the guitar an easy 7 out of 10, frets are very good, neck perfect, all original except for nice fitting non Gibson hard case. Nitro finish is in very good condition with high gloss that has mellowed to a lovely, even amber color over the entire guitar. IMO it looks to have been a case queen most all of it's life.
I'm no fan of the 175 so I will likely flip it on Flea Bay, I'm just wondering what to knock off for the jack damage.
My guess is a pro repair would not be recovered in my final sale cost, and seeing it works fine and is stable I've no desire to venture into a hollow body jack repair myself.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Not having seen pics of it, I'd guess probably in the realm of $3K to $3.5K or so with the OHSC.

What I would do is get a repair estimate from a reputable shop. These sorts of repairs can be made virtually invisible by a good tech, and will cost between $100 and $200. That is chump change compared to what you can realize on a sale. Consider this:
"For sale: Gibson ES175 with cracked wood near the output jack."
or
"For sale: Gibson ES175 with an undetectable repair to a crack near the output jack; the work was done by Billy Badass at SuperSpensive Guitars in Los Wangleez."
or something like that. If the repair is less than $200, go for it; you'll get that back on the sale.

Perhaps I'll set it out there with a strong price on Flea Bay but put a make offer contingency on it. Hmmm....

probably around 2.5-3K considering the jack damage, 3-3.5K or slightly better w/out the damage but price it higher, you can always field offers or reduce the price if no one bites I haven't seen it but I might start it @ 4K and see what happens

Sold it a while back, went for $2,150 which I thought was a good deal for the buyer. For me, I'm ok with that seeing the market was going soft, probably would've pulled a bit more in a better market.
