Figured we might try to break in the new format with some recent pics. No tripod for this one so had to find a suitable rest and hope for the best.. still shooting with the XT1.

Here's one of my favorites from last year. A couple strangers in the pool hall I frequent. Shot on a Nikon F100 with Kodak Tri-X and a 50mm lens

Here's a skyline photo taken with my buddy's D750 and a 80-200mm lens. 10-second exposure.

Nice film shot! I shot a roll of tri-x last year, just around the house to see if my film camera still worked.. should try to do a little more with it but digital is so convenient.. Taken on a Canon Ftb with 50mm f1.4 and Tri-x

I don't own a digital camera other than what's on my smartphone. I got the F100 over the summer for $200 and it's what I shoot everything on. I've shot alot of color negative, b&w and some slide film and it meters great. I'd like to get into medium format this year and have been eyeing Mamiya RB67s.

question; how do you get your photos to fill the page while being under the upload limit? I resized mine to under 1M and they're all tiny..

Here's another Tri-X photo (pushed to 1600) of a friend working on a busted race car in the pits.

Here's a photo of my late friend, Howard, yours truly, my brother, and Goldie, my dog from 1977 somewhere in Bryce Canyon. I am proud to say, a little acid was involved that day. ;o) I still wonder who took the photo...
Sorry, not a recent photo - 43 years ago and all.

Nice. I think, in the end, the canyon took the photo. Here is my beagle contemplating her existence in the nearby Tennessee River Gorge.

I'll bet you selected Auto Shutter, hit the button, and counted down like it was a grenade just before you perfectly tossed it out in front of you guys, where it flipped around and snapped the pic.

Flyon -- how long was the exposure on the shot in your OP? Hey, it was 2.5s at ISO 100 f/22 with a 6-stop ND filter stacked with a circular polarizer. The ND/CPL combo is a bit weird but my ND filter alone gives it kind of a purple hue and I don't do any editing in post so the CPL can kind of fix that while adding a stop or so of light reduction.

^^ It's a very nice effect. And very sharp -- I would have assumed you used a tripod. Nice photo.

^^ It's a very nice effect. And very sharp -- I would have assumed you used a tripod. Nice photo. Thank you! I've gotten lazy hiking and have started just trying to balance the camera on something rather than take my tripod. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Got a backpacking tripod for christmas though so no excuses now hah. The newer lenses with image stabilization are pretty sweet though, if I hold it just right I can get down to about 1/4s handheld at 27mm without noticeable camera shake. This was handheld at 1/8s which is just enough to give some movement to the water. earlier this year hiking in western NC:
