Tony Rice, famed flatpick guitarist passed, away Dec 25, 2020. I was fortunate see him play live with David Grisman in Carmel, Ca. for the production "Tone Poems" and later in San Francisco with David Grisman's group. pitchfork.com/news/guitarist-tony-rice-dead-at-69/RIP

Along with Norman Blake, he's long been a favorite of mine in the genre.
A true master.
Two of my personal favs:
Sail on, Mr. Rice, and thank you.

RIP...I had the great honor of meeting and chatting with him at a record store in St Petersburg, Florida when I was about 20. He was much younger then, as was I.

RIP to a great flatpicking guitarist.
One of my favorite Tony Rice moments, a lot of talent on stage here.
