I have two amp heads from back in '02 and '04 that I'm trying to remember what I paid for them. Can't find a good approximation on prices from back in the day. Before I get to far into this they are the Fender Cybertwin head ver. 1.3 and the Vox Valvetronix Ad 120 head. I have a 'guitar inventory list' I need these prices for with insurance coverage in mind so, I'm including what I paid for each instrument involving both guitars and amps. I was able to get a price on the Vox Valvetronix and it's associated 2x12 cab at the time but, their 'street price' from that time seems a bit steep and I don't recall paying that much ($789.00) for it. Both the Fender and the Vox amps were competitively priced at the time being as they were both the same kind of amp. So, if any of you out there who had either or both at the time can remember what you paid, I'm sure my cost would be similar. Can you help me out here. Thank you.

This probably won't be much help to you, but I've got a CyberTwin combo I bought about 15 years ago. I think they were about £1,100 list price back then.

Thanks, Ayns. How's the weather over their. Your cost would be more in $$$ here for that combo. I suppose that would be in the ball park. Just seems a bit more than I remember but, the head would be cheaper so, that figure I mentioned for it in my first post would be a reasonable price difference between the head and the combo.

Weather here's fine LVF , fairly cold but we've had virtually no snow so far this Winter. Internet search suggests that list price of CyberTwin combo was $1,600. !!!

Should of said I'd gone the route you suggest, Peegoo, with no joy. I bought the Cybertwin from Mars Music, remember them?, and I bought the Vox from the local GC. Bought the Vox combo first but, it died and decided on the head unit. There was a price difference between these two Vox units, of course, but, I don't remember what I paid. Thanks anyway Peegoo. Ayns, your internet search came up with more than my search produced. I must be using the wrong words although 'fender cybertwin original pricing' or trying to find a price catalog doesn't bring up much. that 1600 dollar price must have been MSRP. I suppose it's possible that they were selling the cyber combos for around 11 or 12 hundred bucks here which would suggest that the head unit might have come close to a 1000 bucks. Just doesn't seem right. Thanks for the help!

Way to go sirWheat!
Heck yeah I remember Mars The Music Planet. They were the only musical intrument 'superstore' I've been to where the staff truly knew about the gear they sold. I know it's goofy to expect everyone on the sales floor to be really knowledgable about the stuff they're peddling, but Mars sure did a fine job of it.

Well, of course there's a site that does internet archive stuff. Silly me, I had no idea. I don't remember paying that much for the cyber head but, back then, I had a little, disposable income and I was starting to build my collection of gear getting back in to 'electrics' after a 20+ year absence. I bought the 4x4 cab to go along with it and I remember what I paid for it but, not the head and I thought I'd paid close to the price for the cab for the head. Heh, I was waaaay off. Now, with my newly found knowledge of such a site (thanks, Peegoo, sirWheat), I'll have no problems in the future for this kind of stuff. Another reason this place is so valuable thanks to the folks here. :thumbs up:

Well, that price is from 2004 FWIW. And the price of the combo went up something like sixty bucks within a couple months after that first link I posted.
