I own a 1996 Epiphone Casino built by Peerless that I have owned since 2005. It has gone in and out of favor several times, mostly out. I had problems with fret needing recrowning, two frets snagging the 1st string on bends, P-90s picking up stage dimmer hum LOUDLY, a badly cut nut and crackly pots. And I hated the narrow neck. The fixable problems were gradually tackled over the years. Finally by 2018 it was totally right.
During the intervening years I have bought and sold or traded many guitars but I didn't dump this one. I guess I kept it because I like the sound of P-90s and it is a true hollow body as opposed to semi-hollowbodies that came and went in the interim. It even made it through retirement downsizing. Amazing.

I've got so many just sitting around.
yI sold over $30,000 of guitars in 2021 on E Bay and that only made a dent. Fortunately prices are up so I've made coin on every single one.
In the end I'm purging until what's left makes sense and gets to see some use. I'd hate to leave this rock and leave my wife stuck with all of this stuff.
It was fun getting it all (at the time), and better yet to sell it off and fortunately see a profit on every one so far.

Mine's a bass: a Reverend Dub King. I bought it impulsively, mostly because I got a great price on it (with HSC) in 2014. Didn't bond with it, mostly for ergonomic reasons, so it sat in the case for 2 or 3 years. Was going to sell it, so I thought I'd give it one last chance before letting it go. Slowly warmed up to it and now I play it regularly and plan to keep it.

Since I bought my Baja Tele 2 yrs ago I haven't played anything else. That includes a Gretsch Bamboo Annie and an Elitist Sheraton. I disregard them do much I might sell them. But then again...
