I'd give $3500 for it.
Really though, these kind of things leave me speechless. Maybe they should package it with that crazy, overly gaudy and expensive commemorative monstrosity that Martin trotted out a few years ago.

I was really tempted until I realised that there were no cables included. I’m out.
$25K. Good grief.

That’s crazy . Doesn’t really look like anything I’d even remotely interested in even if I was filthy rich . Fool, meet money.

Hmmmm the original link redirects through BizRate and then back to a Sweetwater page for a headphone amp.
Perhaps they sold all two that they had in stock.

First time it just went to blank page but second try shows the stuff any idiot would be happy to buy! **Not referring to you**

Not the kind of deal I'd ever be interested in. I predict if someone buys a set as an investment, they'll have to wait a long time before they could even recoup their initial outlay.
Like most things of this nature, the value plummets as soon as it leaves the shop.

Holy Shmoly.
I guess if this is the only set they made, they can ask $25K for it. Somebody will buy it.
I'll wait for the limited run when the price comes down to $18K.

See now I kinda like that, it appeals to my gaudy side, lol. Although price wise, I wouldn't pay anything over $105,000, so I'll pass.

Ain't no way that stuff is worth $25k. Holy heck, that's as bad a grift as Gibson's fake bumblebee caps.
I once played a $12,500 Martin. I was visiting the Martin factory with my dear aunt and uncle who asked "so what's the difference between the fancy one and the plain black one?" The plain black one was their $500 bottom of the entire range. So I said "well, this one sounds like an acoustic guitar, see?" and I played one and then picked up the other and said "and THIS one sounds just like an acoustic guitar".
It was a very beautiful guitar though. And when I pointed out the tonal differences they could hear them too, and they realized that the price tag was as more about the workmanship on the gold leaf and mother of pearl inlays, and the prestige, than sound.
We had a very good day. Fond memories indeed.

Are these (especially that Martin) money laundering schemes?

I think I saw one of those Martins, used, for a paltry eighty grand or so.

I realize that the price is out of line in principle, but that whole set up is so far from my aesthetic sense and current playing agenda that I’d think twice about dropping $250 on it. And I’m not saying that with hyperbole.
Yuck.

That would by a house in some areas or a very nice car or 3 or 4 great cars for that matter 😳

Hmmm, why not buy with their easy payment plan. You could easily save about 19K.

That's a bit more than I paid for my house.

I might buy one as an investment.... if the case candy includes 12 or so ounces of gold. The guitar and amp would be a small hedge against market losses.

In 1963 at a pawn shop on Beale St. in Memphis I bought a Teisco Del Rey single pickup guitar with pasteboard case, strap, cord, pick, chord book and Kent amplifier all for $65.00. All brand new. Similar package.

They need to triple the price to make it seem like it's really something special.
