One of my favorites (of many), summer 1963...
Thanks Phil.

RIP I guess . I hated what he did to Let It Be after hearing the stripped version years later.

The Spector sound infected my ear so I had/have no objection to his work on Let it Be, All Things Must Pass, etc. I do hate that he was a murderer.

Yeah but his hair died 30 years ago.

He was a bit too murdery for me to care about how he rests.

He was allowed to keep musical instruments in his cell, so we'll probably get the Phil Spector Bootleg Album eventually. Ironic that his "wall of sound" would end up being made of concrete.

Another Spector product, sung by a man I consider a friend, Sonny Charles. Sonny Charles more recently with the Steve Miller band. Sonny is a bit of Jokster on stage ... when working solo, would mention that there was a time when he had a "killer producer"
A little better audio here.

I am going to take a shot in the dark but I guess that he is missed by some, and not so much by others. Talent aside the creepy factor was pretty high with Phil. Perhaps he will find peace that he could not here on earth.

I hated what he did to Let It Be after hearing the stripped version years later. +1 Let It Be was so much better when it was de-Spectored. Put me down for a big "meh" and a shrug regarding his death.

I like his sound but more like RIH Phil Specter.

His contributions to popular music are undeniable, and with his name in the news again someone's gonna make money off his musical legacy again if they can.

His contributions to popular music are undeniable, and with his name in the news again someone's gonna make money off his musical legacy again if they can. Charles Manson had the weird factor going for him too, in his music endeavors. The Beach Boys covered one of his songs, but they pulled a Phil Spector on him, by changing some of the lyrics and adding a bridge. He put out 20 albums altogether, but his tattooed forehead never caught on like the Beatles hair cut, so ... no breakthrough Ed Sullivan appearance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Manson_discography

Grew up to be a real POS. ^^ This. Keef's memories of PS and Ronnie Ronette had me wish somebody done him in earlier already.
