...say a Tele and a Princeton? I know there are no steadfast rules, but there have to be some standards, no?
Back around 77 I bought my first LP, a wine red Custom. A bandmate had a 59 LP and spoke disparagingly about the then newer ones, but thought mine was really good. Anyway, I played it through an early 70's Twin with EV SRO's and an Altair power attenuator. In the 90s I had a brief fling with a basket case 73 LP and a Vibro King. These days closest I can get is my 50s Trib LP that I fitted with minihums + a VHT Special 6/1×12 cab.
But what do you VOS LP owners play yer beauties through in the bedroom?
Just curious.

To me it’s gotta be a Marshall.
The low volume version of that, for me, is a 50th anni DSL1H with a pair of micro stack cabs.

I'm very happy with my LPs and a DSL-1 head (with a 1x12 Marshall cab with some over-rated for the amp speaker that's like 75 watts, but I HATE speaker distortion, so it works well for me!).

The 18-watt Marshall "Bluesbreaker" amp. It's a fire-breathing combination.
Another great option is the Ampeg Reverberocket 1x12 combo. Frampton used them in the studio.

I sold my 67 Ampeg RRII when I moved from Michigan. Should have kept it.

Oh, I'm not shopping, just a passing curiosity about guitar/amp coupling. I'm more familiar with the Fender pairings than what Gibson fans gravitate to when it comes to smaller amps.

Well... you *could* be shopping any second now.

I'll admit I looked at a Bluesbreaker at Sweetwater. I'll wait for that $3300 stimulus check and a bigger bedroom.

My ex band mate played his Les Paul into a Vox AC15 . It sounded pretty damn good. Lots of chime in hand .

The Bluesbreaker is a sweet Marshall tone all its own.

The AC15 is a sweet amp. I had to go find out what someone was demoing at music shop once, really caught my ear. Tele+AC15.

Speaking of the AC15...
Last year I snagged a nice used Winfield Cyclone combo (w/Celestion Blue) which is pretty much an AC15. V1 is an EF86, though.
It is a stupid-great amp with any guitar. Chime growl and the sweetest cleans. *Very* responsive too.
I was shopping AC15s at the time. I paid a little more for this than a new AC15, but a lot less than a new AC15HW.
When I think about it, I should recommend this amp more. 🤔

I bought a 50th Anniversary AC15H1TV from Telewired a few years ago with a Celestion Blue. What a monster little amp but too loud for the bedroom unless you want to punish the neighbor for letting his dog repeatedly poop in your yard. Incredible clean chime with enough nasty, when pushed, for anyone. Very sensitive to touch too. It sounds great with any of the 8 electrics I have. Les Paul included. Then there's the TRRI with vintage C12N's. Big, fat, and clean. Oh yeah, it gets loud too. Between those two and the Eleven Rack I have every electric guitar sound I could ever want.

The only thing that kept me from getting one is 15 watts at almost 50 lbs. Now that I don’t gig and have to worry it doesn’t matter, but right now with my dsl 40c and my drri, I’m good.

I know this is a boring answer but a Tone Master Deluxe Reverb! I haven't played through a real DR in a long time. It was a silver face that I borowed for band practice and I remember thinking at the time it sounded really great but wasn't loud enough.
20+ years later and I picked up a TMDR yesterday. Before I left the house this morning I set it at the 0.2 watt mode, plugged in my Les Paul and set the volume at 5. Holy moly! Clean to overdrive all with your right hand and at a decently family friendly volume. Cranked the volume to 10 and whoa mama. This is where my head is at these days. Before this, my previous amps (for gigging) were an Orange half stack, a Budda Superdrive 80 half stack, and a JCM800 with a 1936 2x12. I think I've been a DR guy all along (though that Budda was really something on big stages).
Tone Master Deluxe Reverb - 23 pounds of goodness. Pedals optional.

I have two of the Marshall Studios that came out a few years ago. The Mini Jubilee or whatever they're calling it these days, and the JCM800. Both are 20W with a 5W setting. They're still pretty loud for a bedroom, though.
I also have a Strymon Iridium with a Marshall Plexi setting. I play that through my PA sometimes. It sounds better than you might think.
My VOS R8 is a 2006 with Lindy Fralin True 60's pickups, and one the the RS Guitarworks vintage electronic upgrade kits.

I’ve mostly played my Gibson’s including my LPs thru a drri. These days I use a neo lil Texas speaker with good results.

I forgot Fuchs.
I’ve got a Black Jack 21 head and the range of tones out of it is quite broad. From the ODS thing to Marshall-esque.
It looks like the Lucky 7 is out of production... but I bet one of those would be killer with a LP.

The 15Watt Bassbreaker sounds more like a Marshall than some Marshalls! I have one in the basement. Also, an AC15HW with a Blue and an AC15CC1 with Greenback. Both are killer with a LP but were made for a Tele. My DRRI will do justice to any guitar. I have a 15 watt Marshall head and two 12x1 Marshall cabs but don't play it often.
