At one time I had some great 60s-80s amps and stupidly sold them over the years. I’ve been itching for another and wow prices have shot up. Not sure if it’s worth it these days- I have a GDEC 3 as well as a Vox AC-15C1 at home, and I play through a TRRI or a Mustang 3 at church- but just have a vintage Fender itch. I think I would like a Princeton or Deluxe Reverb but it is hard to get into a nice one for less than $1800, at least on Reverb. I’ve also kicked around the ’57 Champ hand wired but opinions seem to be that it’s overpriced.

I would have thought that you could pick up a lightly used Princeton Reverb Re-issue for $800-$900?
Or a brand new Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb for about the same.
But I know what you're saying, 10 years ago I could probably pick up a nice used DRRI for about £250-£400, now we're talking £600+

I have a nice '66 Bandmaster head. Might have to sell if the prices are up, not using it.

I just sold the remaining two amps from my original FS listing in the classifieds. I ended up selling them locally. I did okay when accounting for avoided fees, packing, shipping, and hassle. I think the market is steady which helps. The guy at the local guitar and pawn shops tells me business is great.

Just sold my EC 1966 Bandmaster head to a friend for $800, with cover and footswitch. So my only vintage amp left is a cherry '71 Princeton Reverb. It will likely be the last to go!

I ended up getting a ‘57 Custom Champ used on Reverb. Not vintage but not mega $$ either. I haven’t had anything with a single 8” speaker in years so getting used to it. Nice for fairly quiet practice.

I am thinking of thinning my amp herd and just did a search on Reverb for blackface Delux Reverbs. Nine amps popped up in the search and the cheapest is $3500 going up to $7000. Really???

Yeah, the prices listed on Reverb are artificially high for just about everything. I always check the sold listings on eBay to se what they are really selling for.
