If I ever did, it would have been in the late 1960s, when a friend of mine (who graduated two years before me) set up a store within an electronics store, selling electric guitars and amps. He had all the cool stuff and even played a Hofner Viol bass (RH) in a rock band. But I can't remember if he stocked the Vox Super Beatle amps or not. We used to go in there and try out all the stuff. Got run out of the store one time by the owner/manager of the larger store that the guitar/amp store was inside of. Playing a Vox guitar with built-in fuzz and it was 'way too loud.
I did buy a Vox Pacemaker amp from him in 1968.
Sorry I am of no help, but the mention of a Super Beatle did take me back to the '60s.

A band I was in , mid 60s , had two original Super Beatles. They were awesome but looking back I doubt we were using them to their best level. 2 Super Beatles a Bandmaster Silver Face and a Bassman Silver face. Big sound from kids in the Western Chicago suburbs.

No. but I did have a Vox Berkeley II. Two 10" Bulldog speakers, Spring Reverb. Had the chrome tiltable cabinet trolley with the head sitting on top. So it was kind of like a "Mini Super Beatle". I loved that amp!

I haven't. I plugged into a small Vox once and did not care for it at all. Kinda like I played 2 Gretsch once for maybe 5 minutes. Did not care for it at all. A lot of people make them work. Do you think the Heartbreakers actually used super beatles?

Me neither. But the local music store, c. 1965, had an AC-100, although everybody called it a "Super Beatle." It was impressive-as-heck looking, but I was disappointed it had just three knobs.

No, I never played one, but I remember seeing them at a store in Pittsburgh in the sixties. They also had Vox guitars including the teardrop model. I used to go in the store and drool over them, but that’s as close as I came.

Yeah a friend wanted to borrow my Marshall and said just use this Vox for your band rehearsals. That was probably '93/94. We put the speaker cab (in the stand) backwards on an angle. LOL, kinda loud.
I also borrowed a Vox Berkeley II for awhile in the mid 70's. I used a Brown Fender Deluxe amp coming out of the speaker jack to the input of the Berkeley on a gig once.
It squealed like a stuck pig! Glorious!

It was impressive-as-heck looking, but I was disappointed it had just three knobs. Now that is how an amp should be. A single knob labeled MORE with a clockwise arrow would be even better. Mess o' Boogie, are you paying attention?

+1 ^^^^
When gigging on cruise ships I used whatever "backline" was available (with the exception of one ship where I knew the amps were sub-sub par so I shipped my Matchless out for a contract). On a couple of ships they had Mesa LoneStars. No offense to "Mesaphiles" but ... 15 knobs, 3 mini toggles (and the reverb control knob in the back where you couldn't easily reach it)?

I've just read an article in GuitarWorld, where Jimmy Page says that he used a Vox Super Beatle when recording the first songs on Led Zeppelin II, including Whole Lotta Love. As a massive Page/ Zeppelin fan I did *not* know that.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Super Beatle was/is the solid-state version of the AC-100. Anybody else ever notice the absence of tremolo on Beatle records? Their amps didn't have it.

Please excuse my dumb Monday question, but what was the Vox amp and cabinet that was set up in a chrome framework?

Please excuse my dumb Monday question, but what was the Vox amp and cabinet that was set up in a chrome framework? I think you could get them with any number of their amps. This page is of the Royal Guardsman but click links at top for U.K. Vox amps and /or U.S. Vox amps for photos of different models with stands. www.voxshowroom.com/us/amp/guard.html

My Vox Berkeley II also had the chrome trolley.
And speaking of “Mahalo”, I have a Mahalo Katy 66 1-12 combo in the basement. It is an absolutely beast!

I was able to buy a new Royal Guardsmen in 1970. I was 16 at the time. IIRC, the cab was loaded with two Vox 12” Bulldog AlNiCo speakers and one rectangular horn. The head was 60 watts RMS. It was basically half of a Beatle amp. I was the rhythm guitar player in a 6 piece HS rock band. Within a week or two, the bass and lead guitar players went up to Fargo and each bought a Super Beatle double stack. They each had a 120 watt head and two 4x12 bottoms. The guitar player claimed his cabs were loaded with Celestian (ceramics?).
The keyboard player (Farfisa) had this monster Gibson amp with two 2x12 + horn cabinets. I believe the head was 100 watts (SS). Never saw another one like it. What a beast that could rattle windows at a hundred paces.
What a great looking and sounding back line for those days. I played an ES330. The lead player had a ‘68 or ‘69 LP Black Beauty Custom. The bass player had a Mosrite bass that sounded absolutely killer through his Vox. Did I mention… we were LOUD! I loved that RG with the chrome swivel stand, until I had to pick it up.
